except he's nonchalant, and you're just tedious

Actually, you've outdone yourself here. Nonchalant is exactly how I'd describe him and why I cannot appreciate him.

Nonchalant: coolly unconcerned, indifferent, or unexcited; casual: His nonchalant manner infuriated me.

i don't suppose even his greatest fans could describe his style of play otherwise - that's not to say it's a contemptuous nonchalance though

It's an appearance of nonchalance. If he didn't care he'd not be in fecking top football.

I appreciate him due to the aesthetics of his play, which I'm sure is aided by his particular apparently lax style.

Even Neville won't put the ball out for Dimi.

Says a lot.

Lads, I don't understand how you can say he is playing well when a) he keeps giving the ball away and b) he won't get into the fecking box.

Someone who can see what's happening! Or not, as the case may be.

He's spent most of this half rolling around on the floor.

Tuned in at half time, did we?

I didn't know players were only supposed to make an effort in one half and that if they did, that was considered satisfactory.

He was decent in the first half, but hardly good or very good as some have suggested.

He was decent in first half.

He wasn't bad. He did what one should expect of a United player. He's disappeared in the 2nd half.

As for service - if you don't make yourself available, how is a midfield supposed to serve you?

I know.. he's singularly failed in the second half, as opposed to the rest of our side.

This thread isn't about the rest of our side. I despair of some of the spastics on this forum. Like you, Eriku.

Why can't people call a spade a spade? He was decent in the first half, but a decent half for him means he has been very good. I don't understand that concept. He has been shit it the second, and people are still claiming he has been playing well.

He'll score though!

No, he won't.

No, but the standards being applied to Berba are different to other players.

The entire team has dropped since the first half in terms of how well we used our possession... So I find it harsh to say it's indicative of Berba being worse than everybody else, even if he certainly is among our worst performers just now.

Has been awful in the second half, really dire. No excuses and I think Fergie's patience may run out soon.

His first half was more than decent. He was central to our best moves. But for Valencia having a pop straight at the keeper, he'd have wonderfully forced a match winning chance for us.

I don't agree. Nobody has had quite such a disappointing season for us as Dimi.

Nani started off shite and got lambasted by the forum, especially me, but he's turned it around and now gets praised, by me too.

There are no double standards here, just a massively underperforming, disappointing striker.

NOBODY?!

Michael Carrick is a CLEAR candidate.
