Diego

Im reluctantly coming to the conclusion that maybe he would have been better off at Middlesborough ........He, Fortune , Chadwick and others are essentially mid table sort of people , nice to bring on when we are a few up but not the sort to have to rely on when the shit is hitting the fan and we need goals ..However we are stuck with him now so must publicly support him whenever he plays and the Ot crowd have as usual been very very patient doing nothing to dent his confidence ...deep down however I think we all fel the same , he isnt top drawer . and maybe a mistaken purchase

Unbelievable - a logical posting on Diego Forlan!

I don`t understand the `logic` whereby just because Manchester United has a player in its squad, everybody must say that player has the quality needed to succeed in such a competitive club in the toughest league. And if you don`t say that then you are disloyal to Manchester United.

If posters slag off Diego, making personal or baseless attacks then that is one thing. But to acknowledge that the man is a trier and works hard in training and the pitch, yet maybe does not have the standard to perform at such a competitive club as Manchester United is a fair point of view.

Unfortunately some posters here have more than a touch of Margaret Thatcher - `Everyone is entitled to MY opinion.`

Very true. But I think it's more of a mindset problem rather than Forlan's ability. Some good players never seem to settle down at OT, I believe he would fluorish at another club, just not ours unfortunately.
