I think Mourinho should put in a 20 mil bid for him. Back up in case Lukakaku gets injured or you could pair them in that 3-5-2 formation or 4-4-2. He's a prick but a beast of a centre forward.

I think Mourinho had enough of his antics two seasons ago when Costa & others downed tools to help get him sacked.

I'd take him here if Jose believed he fit in with the dressing room.

I don't think he would, but he'd be a potentially fantastic signing.

I think he'll end up at Atletico and they'll lose Griezmann.

how would we fit him in the team?

What in the name of God would we do with Costa? We've got a shiny new centre-forward who's off to a flyer and a couple of potentially brilliant young guns that Jose has to try to keep motivated and sharp. Way to unbalance a nice looking squad dynamic.

feck no he is likely a cancer in the dressing room

Probably yes, but Jose will know him on a personal level and if he thinks he'd fit in then I'd be all for it.

I don't think for a second it'd happen though. Costa for me when on form and interested is the best striker in the league.

The feck?

Costa was one of the main reasons Mourinho lost his job at Chelsea, he's being kicked out of the club by Conte before the same happens to him.

None of us know what exactly went on there. Costa claims in the interview Jose phoned him to see if he was ok whilst he's been out on Brazil.

Yuck, no way.

He said he only wants Atletico and doesn't care about the fee or anything. He loves Madrid and gets along very well with Simeone. Think a deal gets agreed this month, he trains with the first team and then plays in January.

In fairness we haven't actually changed much from last season. We have our main 'big man' striker and rashford and Martial who can fill in but both of whom you know Jose would prefer to utilise as wide players. If Lukaku gets injured/suspended then we can either played Rashford or Martial as a lone front man or switch to 3-5-2.

If his attitude is right then i am open to bringing him in, but truthfully i think he is probably disruptive as feck.

Love to be able to watch him make the oppo piss themselves in rage every week, can you imagine him in a derby? He'd get half of them sent off while somehow escaping punishment. he's my favourite current player (disregarding actual football ability), would take him in a heartbeat. That or just a 15 mil bid to troll Conte a bit more.

He's such an ass. It would be insane to bring him on. He almost killed Bailly.

feck no. there's been a lot said about the good vibes in the dressing room right now. Costa is toxic and I don't want him anywhere near the club.

Even if he did get along with his teammates, he's an absolute scumbag on the pitch.

Many of these half arsed goals were winning goals as well he won Chelsea 15 points in the league last season..

Whatever bad thing is said about Costa will probably be right. But no one should downplay how good he has been. His contributions on the pitch apart from scoring, even during his bad patches, tend to be immense. He is a big headache for any opposition team.

If we were up shit creek I'd maybe consider it, but our centre forward options are very strong right now. Even if we decide we need more firepower we'll go and sign Zlatan in December.

Top striker. If we could get him on a short term loan deal until Athletico transfer ban finishes then why not. Been s*t on by Conte and doing the right thing staying away. He even stated Mourinho has called him so I do not think then that he was one of the ones that caused Mourinho's downfall. More likely the mole is Fabregas that has been debated over and over.

He's an amazing striker, and when on form, the best striker in the league. We could always play with 2 strikers. I don't mind his on the field antics, but he'd totally ruin the very good dressing room spirit we seem to have now. Also his previous bust ups with Mourinho makes this an impossibility. Let's hope he goes to Athletico in Jan and Griezmann comes our way. Win win for everyone involved.

I just want him gone from the Premier League, I don't care where. Any game involving him becomes less enjoyable due to his antics.
This. I dong care how good he can be - he should never be allowed to put in a United shirt. Sure we ve had our own strikers with a nasty streak but nothing like a Costa or Suarez. Imho of course.

People that want him here, what is too much for you to not want a player (besides the obvious lack of talent in a player)? Don't you have any principles?

South americans with their Third class shit attitudes, Most of them.

If United had not signed Lukaku, I would welcome Costa - if only on loan. He has a proven goalscoring record.

I can hardly refuse Costa because of his bad-boy attitude when I supported signing Ibrahimovic, and support re-signing him.

There is a certain line you shouldn't cross. Diego Costa is that line. I would rather not be successfully but to watch him wear that despicable person wear the red-shirt everyday will surely suck the joy out of the whole thing.

Also, commercially we have a brand to protect and I am sure Costa's behaviour don't exactly align with how we want the world to see us.

From a footballing perspective, he will be nothing more than a substitute on a few occasions (depending on where he is in the pecking order). We may also say good bye to Martial and Rashford's career at OT.

I honestly can't comprehend how any United fan could want a scum bag like Costa associated with our club.

I'll be laughing at Conte the exact same way if they drop more points against Spurs tomorrow. The pressure will truly be on him then despite being only 2 games in.

Even if they drop points, goal scoring is not one of their problems with costa gone, its the lack of depth and defense. Morata can cover costa's abscence very well.

I'll be laughing with you, but dropping points away from home to a title rival wouldn't be catastrophic in my eyes just yet. Had it been away to huddersfield then I'd be agreeing with you.
