DFB-Pokal Final | Dortmund vs. Wolfsburg

You can understand now why the people who watch Bundesliga don't want us to touch Gundogan and Hummels. ;)

They're not as bad as tonights performance but they're certainly not worthy of huge bids.

Apart from the goals how have Dost and Luiz Gustavo looked? They could be genuine targets for us this summer but I don't think anyone will be leaving Wolfsburg with Champions League football to look forward to next season

Dost? A genuine target?

I really like Dost, intelligent striker and he's a handful. Gustavo i'm not so keen on, decent enough but nothing special. He'a solid 6/10 guy.

It's a shame that Klopp won't leave the club on a high with a Cup win, it'd have been a nice farewell for him and the club. I'm watching this game and I can't help but remember Dortmund's performance in the German Cup final 3 years ago against Bayern. Things were very different then.

But hasn't anybody ever mentioned just how unbelievably incredible his distribution is?!

It's all that matter to some people on the Caf.
On BT they have said about his passing. Do you think he comes too far forward and then of course if he loses the ball he is done for? Maybe he needs to curb that slightly.

TBH Mertz is also slow, pace isn't the be all and end all. However I don't want Hummels seems to make far too many mistakes

Possibly. I'm not sure that's an issue or not but he'd improve dramatically if he just positioned himself where a proper centre half would position themselves.

I've had the opinion now many are agreeing with from a while now. Even said last summer.

Tomorrow... Borsigplatz... Dortmund....

So then... how do you turn around Dortmunds team? It needs a fair bit of surgery.

It's still very strong. The defence needs a coach that's going to focus on organising it, however. From what I've seen they could do with a better centre forward, too. A Lewandowski replacement.

It's still a very good squad and I'd question the mentality of the team this season before I'd criticise the individual quality of the players. Today is a perfect example. They played great in the beginning, dominated the game and should have been 2-0 up after 30 minutes. Then they fell apart after conceding against the run of play. A new manager might be the change they need.
