Well he is barely the player he was anymore, so it fits. Buying him would solely on a gamble of him being able to return to his best and not on what his current form would be worth.
Dortmund never had any reason to sell either. It's just that some players will let their contract run down or the buying team won't mind spalshing a huge amount of cash on the player.
Yup similar to the Falcao gamble. Except at least Falcao was on loan rather than having to fork out a big sign on fee. Also as i've always said, Gundogan imo is better further up the pitch.
Dortmund don't have huge sponsors though and therefore they could never afford decent wages. That's slowly changing for them now though.
