Raids and nightfalls done for the week.
Got Jade Rabbit (310) from the exotic chest. Got Thunderlord (310) from Oryx and from Nightfall (310). Also got an exotic engram from the Warpriest with 3 of Coins that I got a 290 starfire Protocol from. Good haul, all in all. Going to use the second Thunderlord to infuse the raid MG when I get it.

Yeah not bad considering half were new at Golgoroth and stuff afterwards.
Managed to get Oryx done first time with an LFG. Only got 2 moldering shards and a worse light gauntlets than I had before (304 compared to the 305 I had). Ah well
Anyone got anything decent from the Nightfall yet? I've had 11 strange coins last week and now 5xThree of Coins this week. Losing faith!

Get two people to either sit on the first two platforms, then start moving to the other two as you jump on the first OR get two people to sit on the middle two, leaving you the first one to find, you can then jump straight to the middle one while they activate and sit on the last couple for you.
I did this last week with Cosmo and Gaz and we sat there while four other randoms too e opportunity to use the pads as well.

You can do it using only one bubble.
Just start it, clear enemies out either side (drop some orbs if you can for later). Get one person to distract Gorgoroth, one person to get gaze (normally weakest person). Drop the nearest bubble (on the left). Titan jump in and drop weapons of light, hunter tether him and everyone in (bar person with gaze) and blast him. Ideally if you have a few people with black spindle (@ 310) and a couple of high impact snipers (we had a 304 & 306 sniper as well).
Person with gaze gives countdown from 10 (normally just jump out with 2 seconds left). Then clear out enemies, generate orbs if needed and repeat. (Don't forgot to throw grenades into the middle to clear out cursed thrall and then repeat. Normally only takes 2/3 runs depending on what weapons you have. Last night he was virtually dead (could see no health on his health bar) so instead of going again when the taken came we just pumped a few rockets into him and he went down.
Yeah word for word that's exactly what we did, definitely the best method. Makes it quite an easy boss in the end!.
Sometimes! Sampy kept me up a bit longer as he wanted to try and finish Oryx but was unsuccessful.@Damien do you sleep?
yeh you can swap it between characters. I did it to fast track mine.
Wait, if I get the exotic sword quest on a warlock, there is no crucible portion? Also how do you make sure you get the exotic bounty on the one character. Can't remember exactly what triggered the quest.
My warlock originally had the void sword, i upgraded it the max and then infused to over 280 then the exotic sword quest popped up.
after i had done the crucible part on my warlock i got to the gather legendary materials. I then upgraded my solar sword and infused it to 280 and nothing happened, i thought had broken it and got a bit worried, but it turned out fine.
Once i completed the materials gathering for the void sword the quest to gather legendary materials for the solar sword popped up, completely skipping the crucible portion of that quest.

Had to write myself a feckin to-do list for when I get on tonight. Last night I hopped on with good intentions and ended up farming the Taniks strike hoping for his Cloak to drop. I got so excited when a little purple ball dropped and then it turned out to be Does Not Bow
Gotta get my gunsmith rep up and then do the quest to get the Legendary sniper ASAP, then I'll do this new Firewall mission on Earth and the follow up bits. Then possibly get my marks from the Vanguard Heroic Strikes and then maybe, maybe farm Taniks some more

I've seen the thread on Reddit and there's no confirmation it's the Sleeper Simulant quest really. It's possible though, by the looks of it. Just not definite though.
Oh and, it stops at a dead end too. Looks like the next part will be a time gated type thing too.

You get the IKELOS Fusion Core. Sleeper Simulant is a heavy fusion rifle and has something to do with IKELOS.

Ah, fair enough I hadn't seen that. Does indeed look proper, good stuff! I'll do the necessary bits for it myself tonight despite the fact that I am no fan of Fusion Rifles. Looks bad ass though so that'll do for me
By the way, how is the Y2 Monte Carlo? I got it from Taniks last night as I was using 3oC but haven't used it yet as the Hung Jury is just too fecking good.

@Damien You know about the cheesy way to do the Scent of the Worm chest? The one where you jump along the left-hand wall on the edges that stick out just a little bit. Give it a few tries, takes a little while until you have it down, but it'll make it so much easier for you to complete it.

Can't get that worm chest for the life of me. Got 45 fragments but at least one of the raid ones were done on another character and don't know which one so I'll have to go through the raid again. Still would be nice to get that worm chest for insurance though
