take a look at the recruitment section on the app or main bungie site until, you find a noob thread for raiding, its how i got half of the raid done, everyone is the same as well no elitists you could also start your own thread as well, its what ill probably do as there is plenty of us out there

Yeah, ToM is gonna be like the Gjallarhorn for the next few weeks/months with loads of groups wanting people with it despite not having it themselves. There's still groups out there with not so stringent conditions though
low-mid 290s is fine for vast majority of raid. Its only the Oryx thing where ToM and higher light would be nice but definitely not a necessity. A good, high impact sniper does the job and after one run of the raid you should be closing in on the latter stages of 290.
@freshibal, forgot to mention I keep getting lots of The Impossible Machines too. Already had one at 310 light and another one dropped from that strike at 310 light so I infused my 305 raid gauntlets to bring them up to 310

@Damien I think you cursed me with helmet engrams, i got one and it decrypted into my 3rd stag, with light level of 290

I find https://www.reddit.com/r/fireteams/new to be the best place when looking for players. Very rarely do i ever have problems gathering people from there.
Simulant is decent against the tougher enemies also if you get a ricochet that hits another enemy it wastes them too. It will be useful for certain situations and I will give it a blast on Golgoroth and Oryx to see what it can do.

Yeah, I was surprised about the nightfall. There weren't as many adds spawning in the boss room than I thought there'd be which made it a lot easier
Think I might try and do some of the raid tonight. Although I didn't do my T3 CoO last night. So much stuff to be doing!

I think I have taught it some bad language over the yearsI'll be on tonight if there are some up for doing the raid. I know Swag can't get on until 11pm but I don't mind waiting until then. Most of the raid can be done in a couple of hours. I'll be doing it via my hunter so tonnes of fun await seeing me fail at the jumping puzzles

They have messed up by adding the very first quest in the abandoned quests kiosk as there is no way to play it and you cant abandon it

@Damien you don't know how happy I am to have Dredgen Yor's Rose. I love that story a lot, plus it's 300 so raised my light nicely!

Yeah, they have to sort out the nightfall rewards, more marks and guarnteed coins and not coins as the only reward would be handy as well as lifting the cap

You get pretty much the exact same thing for the Heroic strikes as you do the normal Vanguard strikes aside from the guaranteed legendary engram and legendary marks for the first one. Infact, i've got better stuff from the normal level 36 strikes than i have the level 41 ones! Surely you'd think the overall rewards for completing a level 41 strike would be better than completing a level 36 one? After you've got the Legendary engram and marks, theres really no point in doing the heroic strikes.
Nightfall rewards are just messed up completely at the moment
