Might spend some time grinding for Taniks Cloak or one of the Flayers Mantle's, just not sure what level of strike to do them on for the best bang for my buck in terms of drop rate vs time to complete strike.

I think drop rate will be the same for them all so do the default level. What's your situation with swords? The solar exotic sword is perfect for taking down the Flayers quick.
So by that, do you mean doing the 36 playlist or loading the specific strike up from the Moon or Mars depending on the strike?
Eh, not great. I have the normal sword but it's not been upgraded at all, in fact i don't think i've even used it to be honest!

I've been lucky enough to have been in a fair few strikes where that has been done though. The Flayers were always a bit of a bitch pre TTK, but they're easy peasy now.
Still got the DoO checkpoint on my other character. Just been having a go of that section as I wasn't sure of the mechanics and its straightforward enough... more jumping involved in it though >.>
We've managed to beat the entire raid in an hour twice in a row now. Once you get a group that knows the mechanics it really is a piece of piss. Not that many glitches that feck you up either, just pure mechanics.
Problem is finding a group who accept people who haven't done 500000000 raid clears, don't have the emblem or touch of malice and those who do end up kicking you for bullshit reasons

The idea of that is someone expierienced helping run inexperienced people through it. Might be handy for you. I was thinking of getting a group there for myself at some point if I always end up too late on for you guys.
Got the Mark of the Undying Mind for the Titan i don't have tonight and the Dead Orbit guy trolled me hard when i got the faction cloak in a package but it's at 270 defense. If you buy it off him, it comes at 280 defense. So i have to infuse it up just to get it as good as 'stock'. Sigh.

Got some good stuff from the raid and was one of the nicest groups I've been with as well. Person in control was clearly experienced but was nice enough to basically sherpa the rest who either hadn't played it or hadn't done it much.
We made it to Daughters of Oryx, so that is two characters I've got at that checkpoint! @freshibal @Adam-Utd if either of you two want to finish the raid off tomorrow/whenever that'd be great.

Couldn't believe it myself, and surprised that I didn't need to go to orbit and rejoin.I kept getting lost and running in the wrong direction
It all seemed the same colour/shade so when I thought I was looking up, I was looking down at the ground or at a wall or something stupid.
With the match being on tomorrow and us probably having various quests to do/turn in (I should hopefully have my other two exotic swords tomorrow

We got up to Golgoroth last night which we will finish tonight, got Defiance of Yasmin - 306 Attack and managed to level up my Lyudmila-D to 294.
Really need the ghost as mine is only 280. I'm up to 295 with only a little bit needed to be 296.

@Damien @freshibal ha Damien actually did pretty well on the puzzles I was surprised! I felt bad for that other guy though, but atleast he was gracious enough to accept defeat and let us get on with it, I think we spent half the raid time waiting for him!.
Yes I would prefer to finish it thursday onwards if possible, need an early night tonight

Another night another step closer to 290 light, Did a few heroic strikes and got some decent legendary gear for it, I seem to get alot of legendary heavy weapons though when I'm only really interested in using the sword, I think im gonna try and get that made into an exotic tonight, Does anyone know how you activate that questline? I've got it fully upgraded and its attack level is 261 so far, will I have to get the level higher or something?

I don't think it helped that sash was a hunter (I think he was, anyway). If I was on my hunter I'd be having similar problems too.
Infuse it to over 280 light then go to Shaxx. The exotic quest is quite lengthy with a lot of different things to do, and at the earliest you'll be able to get the exotic sword next Wednesday as one of the steps requires delivery of Armsday materials, but when you complete that sword, it'll make things easier if you do have other characters and want to make more exotic swords.
I got one exotic sword last week and am now on the final step for the other two so should hopefully have them tonight

getting a bit frustrated with legendary marks. I am level 40, but my light level isn't enough to do most of the activities that give you marks. Instead all I can do is the PVP stuff that gives you them (I hate PVP) and I've just played 3 matches and didn't get any due to my team losing all 3 times. What a waste of time

Just tried it with two other guys. That is brutal, could get to the final room with plenty of time, but just couldn't bring the boss down

I still have to do it. Coming on in a couple of mins. Got the sniper which does bonus damage to Taken which should hopefully help on the boss too

I was like that maybe a week ago, frustrating when you lose those crucible games for the marks. Just keep at it then when you're able to do the strikes/heroic strikes keep at them & you'll see your Legendary marks fly up, I just spent about 75 of them on Monday, by wednesday I had 40. You'll also unlock questlines that offer marks as rewards when you do the storyline missions
Two strategies for people struggling, I read these last week and will try them out tonight when im back from work.
1: destroy the black balls, they spawn all the adds. Make sure you have atleast 5 minutes left when reaching boss and treat the fight like skolas POE, kill the adds first, destroy the blights and then burn the boss.
2: have atleast one titan with WOL, then go ham on boss with swords, then take care of adds.

On now if there's anyone else on right now who wants to attempt it. Got 302 light, Warlock with self res and a solar exotic sword, though if an arc exotic sword would be better I can get that, though I don't have the motes to level it up yet.
@Damien If you want to try to solo it, then it spawns less adds to make it more do-able.
Lets give it a shot Damien, hopefully with just the two of us it spawns less enemies as well.
Not sure we are going to be able to do that with just the two of us Damien. Did you want to keep trying or wait until we can find a titan.
