Yep, I spent somewhere between half an hour and an hour farming and got myself about 5 exotics, which helped boost me right up in light level. Scourge of Winter was what I was using at level 14. Simply Use the boost, pick away at the boss until he was nearly dead, then run up and blast a rocket killing us both.

Done the war priest on two characters now. Done ogre on one and up to the deathsingers. We have the strategy down but one guy keeps fecking it up for us.

Nightfall wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be.

Yeah, only real struggle when christy and I did it was when the Darkblade sped up, but even if you wipe you just start again from the checkpoint. The third person we got from LFG was great and gave me a Red Bull code when we finished as doing the nightfall helped him with his exotic sword quest

The raid sounds so good, can't wait to have a go at it. At 266 light right now though, hoping to get well into the 270s today, maybe even 280 if I'm lucky.
Is the Nightfall the Darkblade strike then? That one isn't too bad, might have to have a go at it myself.

Yeah, I recommend doing it only when you're around 280ish though. Doable with 270s but best to be able to do as much damage as possible. The Darkblade isn't bad apart from when his helmet falls off and he zooms around. The third guy we were with managed to avoid him fine but I kept ending up running into walls and stuff
Yep, just gonna keep getting stuck into the heroic strikes for now. Seems to be working quite well!

Bosh- after a hundred million Titan crest of alpha lupi, hawkmoons and "the stag", finally decoded an exotic engram into the Zhalo Supercell.

The last mission on the taken war - mars, echo of oryx part is ridiculously hard to do solo. So many enemies, no place to take cover, and then being burned/poisoned constantly. Have died like 10 times so far on it
I've purposefully put off those quests for now because of how difficult i heard they were. I'll get my own light level up more first and then try them out, with help if needed.
Yeah I may need to invite people.. Got close once, but every other time I get like half the damage and then it gets too much and I die.
Edit: Got it finally, fecking hell. Got an exotic weapon and legendary gauntlets that dropped from him as well!

Up to 295 light after finishing the court of oryx questline (some guy had an antiquated rune so we got the tier 3). You get a 300 light artifact out of it, which was a huge boost considering my last one was around 265.

Yikes, how many coins did you use? I've used about 15 (through strikes) and got 3 engrams

sounds about right damo. I was averaging an engram every 5 coins
Is it? I got it as a drop from the first raid boss (used a coin), but I haven't actually used it so far. Mainly been using the sniper I got from it
Do you guys want to try the raid tonight? @Damien @TheSwagginator @freshibal @Sampy93 and whoever else we can get. Or we could go tomorrow after the United game if you lot are free. I've only done up to the second boss and then have a mission to kill the first boss so I don't mind doing it again.
Its half two in the morning over here so everyone you'll have tagged will be in bed or about to, but I'd like to try it at some point after the United game.
