It didnt auto download for me and i just noticed it was available around 20 mins ago
Yeah it didn't auto download for me either. Just made a note of when people said it was downloading and went in the game to trigger the download.
Right now the servers will be hammered, but if you put your PS4 in rest mode it should download faster.
Saw an advert for The Taken King today. Looked great and made me want to play again until i realized i'd probably be way way behind seeing as i never even did the first raid.
Mines just updated, will probably start a Warlock character fresh and re-play just to hear the Nolan Ghost.
If you start again I doubt you'd be that far behind. @Leg-End started not long ago and is not that far behind those who've been playing for the year.
Yeah, I mean all you need is a bit of luck and some strange coins. Although I guess they have now changed the currency for exotics right?
I got back into it recently (untill MGSV came out) and have never done a raid myself, you should be ok.

try pausing the download with x, waiting 2 seconds and pressing x again to restart. playstation dc sucks.
Yeah I done it a few times, eventually got it down to 13 hours instead of 64 hours
Oh cool, I might give it another go and see what's what then. Is the new DLC/expansion going to change anything significantly? Just asking as I thought I'd seen some talk of it changing stuff but I didn't get any further than that.

Looking at the taken king trailers etc it brought me back to those days when we were all trying to beat the raid for the first time.
Skipped the two previous DLC's cause all I heard was negative.
But do you guys reckon I'd still get to your guys level in no time if I pick this up again?
I'm level 28 for the record.

I am a bit lost, finally got it downloaded and spent the last half hour in the tower, @Damien where do you go to replay the mission to get the strangers gun
In the vanguard hall on the right hand side there's a kiosk that says "Abandoned Quests". Click on that and pick up the quest that mentions the Garden. Play through that (first step involves going on the Strangers Call mission) and you'll get the legendary rifle at the end of it.
Jumped on this morning for an hour or so, did one level 11 story mission because i never actually finished the story back in the day. Got up 2 levels (i did complete a couple of bounties too tbf)
I'm really liking what i see so far though. Not sure how i get Vanguard marks now, mind you. Was gonna go after them to get my light up somewhat.

You can't right now. If you finish the whole story you will get a legendary gun though which'll give you some light.
Vanguard marks and Crucible marks are going and will be replaced by Legendary marks which'll be earnable from next week.

Don't do the subclass quests or you won't get the emblem for them. Bungie are saying emblems won't be handed out respectively but I hope they find a way to change that
Ah fair enough, I'll just finish up the story then I guess. Maybe do some crucible. Might well preorder TTK though since I'll get all the other DLC with it.
It says not available to order for me, the 2 other bundles are available but the one i want is not
EDIT: Turns out it was quite simple i just had to press the download button on HOW seeing as i get it as part of the whole game bundle i never pressed it

I didnt know about it, still getting the voidwalker done is going to be pretty hard, when you have 2 others blasting off there supers and shooting at your targets

Aye I'd be up for it too, do you have to have The Dark Below completed? I've got both the first two expansions but didnt want get too far into them incase there was anyone here getting back into it who wanted to do them with others

I managed to do it on the third attempt on the Undying Mind strike - without a fully upgraded Light Beyond Nemesis. If you have got a fully upgraded LBN it should be even easier. Try to put as much into intellect as you can to lower the time for super to fill, and its best to only start using your super on the steps bit where it splits into two sides and all the yellows appear. Kill three of them to get seven orbs, and with the others generating craploads of orbs too, your super will near instantly refill.

Congrats! If you pledge allegiance to a faction, when you complete a bounty, rep goes to both vanguard and the faction, with the faction getting less rep than the vanguard bit so would probably advise getting a faction fairly early as both vanguard and faction rep goes up after activities.Yep. Can you change the appearence of your armour with better stats to look like lower stat armour but better looking aesthetically yet?

If you've got any of those glimmer consumables remember to use them to increase your glimmer when killing enemies of the specific typeDon't think so
Damn. I'm pretty sure I read that was one of the mooted changes coming in. I've got a brilliant looking exotic chest plate but its stats dont match up to the Legendary one I got a few weeks ago.Don't think so
Yeah i noticed this morning i've definitely got a few of them. I'll whack the one for killing Cabal on while i do some of the Mars story if i remember.
You'll need Vex one for the last story mission too
I'm hopeful they'll implement it at some point. Just happy they brought in the various kiosks, especially the shader ones as it was annoying getting tonnes of the same shaders
