I'm talking about Dailies, Weeklies and Nightfalls being TDB only several times, plus Xur selling expansion only stuff a few times, which are the most relevant things to do endgame.

Ah....so, when the daily or weekly is a DLC mission, non-DLC players don't get a non-DLC version...? Well that's pretty shitty, yeah.
Although, if you're non-DLC, endgame is The Vault of Glass, which is doable with the non-DLC gear....but not being able to Nightfall & Weekly every couple of weeks kinda blows.
Yeah Jev is right, although I'll say that in spite of this the game is still (or can still be) fun. If I hadn't got the dlc at launch it would be a hard sell right now trust me. Destiny 2 has the potential to be GOTD but they need to listen to what people are saying about D1 so far and they need to keep money grabbing Activision in check....
Yeah. I took a break for a couple of weeks and am back into it and enjoying it again.
Now I have two of my characters at 32 and pretty much all the weapons that I really want, I am actually having more fun running ROCs and bounties again, rather than the disciplined style of play that the raids require. I've been helping some newer lads through NM raids and Nightfalls, to get them leveled up and picking up the good drops. It's pretty cool and very satisfying helping someone get their first exotic or bit of raid gear.
What level are your mates at now?
I got a mate at lvl 26 who I'm trying to help through the VoG... it brings back memories as I remember what it used to be like. He probably thinks it's the hardest thing he's ever seen, he's dying all the time...
Had a group the other night with me as 32, a 31, 30, 28, 26 and a 23. We got to Atheon NM pretty easily, but couldn't kill him as the higher damage lads had to be on relic duty.
The 23 is now 29 and we ran NM Crota with a few more 32 last night and he dropped the fusion and Multi-Tool. He was made up.
How did you get him from 23 to 29 so quickly?
He picked up a VoG chest piece the other night. He was running with blue weapons and wasn't even registering any damage.
Then, last couple of nights, we ran him through the DLC stuff and a bunch of bounties. He got lucky with a purple engram which gave him a helmet and he bought the Vanguard boots and got the gauntlets from Eris. Got him in NM Atheon and he dropped the MIDA and then the fusion from Crota NM.
Anyone know the best way to score a Hawkmoon? ROCs...?

So we are killing omnigal once again. We get that they are trying to get people to buy the DLC, but this stuff is getting old for everyone that does have it. No burn as well it seems. Not really looking forward to grinding through it 6 times when I get home in a couple of hours.

Yeah, 728 active hours played and still no Gjallar. Pretty much everyone else from the active players has one.
Tbh, mate, the only time I ever use Gjallarhorn is when taking on Crota or Atheon and for that bitch Omnigal. The rest of the time, I would rather have Ice-Breaker or my Multi-Tool as my exotic.

Fecksake, another HotPF. I despise that nightfall. Took over an hour to do one. Definitely won't be doing all three tonight

Well I just did my last nightfall for this week and I only went and received the Gjallarhorn - my first and only! I'd given up on it but better late than never!

This nightfall was such a pain, it wasn't that difficult, but the simply grind without a burn made it a right chore. So to get gh out of it would have been great.
