Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Is the Dark Below actually worth getting for the price?

It's a tough one. Most of the exotics with TDB are pretty crap, apart from Titan Wings (Titan guantlets), Don't Touch Me (Hunter gauntlets) and Obsidian Mind (Warlock helm).

Crota NM is decent but not near how good VoG is, while Hard Mode is just not enjoyable at all. I am liking the weapons you can get from the raid though, and from Normal Mode you can obtain Black Hammer and Hunger of Crota, which are pretty much the legendary versions of Ice Breaker and Gjallarhorn (albeit a bit weaker). It's also easier to get the weapons from Hard Mode it seems (e.g. I've done VoG Templar plenty of times and am still yet to get Fatebringer, yet in six runs on Crota HM I've got all the Hard weapons and am just waiting on the Crux now).

Overall I don't regret my decision to get TDB, I just hope that House of Wolves is better.

I haven't played for the last 2 or 3 weeks, so I have a couple of questions about the last updates. Firstly, does HM Crota work like HM VoG in terms of loot? I mean if you still get drops for both HM and NM when doing hard mode.

And secondly, was there an update regarding the Black Hammer? I know there was a bug with Hive Disruptor, but now it looks like it completely disappeared from the perk tree.

Not from what I've seen in the six times I've done it.

Just said that they were removing the perk until they sorted the issue.
You do get the double roll on loot drops on HM.

Don't you...?

What are the strikes like? I only really get a chance to do the Raids with you guys and I never seem to be around when you're doing them, so they're not a huge part of the game for me tbh, as much as I'd like them to be.

Not my cup of tea to be honest, best to get some other opinions

Just saw that @Damien has more than 3000 posts in this thread. Is it a record?

Nah, that goes to the Soccer Manager thread where some unknown poster has over 3,600 posts

Whole night of failing rescued by the amazing spanish guy again

Though still no scout rifle. Got a second 4 horseman though and another helmet.

I wish this game would stop giving me Monte Carlos at the end of Roc strikes. Just got my fifth one.

I DON'T WANT MONTE CARLO, I WANT THE GJALLARHORN BUNGIE. THANK YOU.

Never got an exotic out of roc strikes, I don't even recall getting a legendary...

Cool, I'm up for Hard at any point from Templar or earlier. I don't mind fresh but I'll be on my hunter so won't be much use at confluxes. Really want to try and get a Fatebringer. Coming on now.

Cool, I'll try and find us a game.

Finally finished my third crota and got my third word of crota. I've killed him 4 times now. All I want is the scout rifle and It keeps giving me the dam hand cannon.

Two attempts at Urzok in Skywatch with two others and we haven't been able to down him. Anyone mind jumping in and helping out?

Bring an arc weapons. Downing his shield I found was the hardest part (other than not being killed in all the chaos), and then just keep constant damage on him to stop it from going back up.

Saying that I've read that there are a few different version of him, some fairly simply to kill and one that is very hard to bring down. So luck of the draw on which one you get.

I used the thunderlord, as you mention getting the shield off is the hard part as it respawns very quickly. A few people hitting him with arc weapons soon downs him quick enough though.
