Think this might be true, we played 3 or 4 games where the other team was lagging so badly. In one of them one of the players melee killed my from very far away. I was even behind the wall.
 
Got the Chest Armour from IB which I think looks pretty bad ass, just need the arm armour and I can get to level 31, which isn't bad seeing as I don't have the DLC.

Absolutely hated IB this time round though, last time when I was 29 I didn't feel that outgunned against level 30s but with the cap at 32 now I'm just getting absolutely dicked on by the higher levels.

Not sure why, but I play so much better on my own. I was playing with @Adam-Utd and I was the worst player every time. I play alone and I win every game after that, was always the highest or second highest with the kills and captures.

I just drop out of any match where more than one of the opposition is on a red connection, you are wasting your time otherwise.

You just can't beat them.
I have the emblem, shader and tea towel for my Titan, I should hit rank five by tomorrow evening, then I will get the pistol and gold spiral and that will be me done!
 
If anyone needs to do the nightfall still, I'm at Sepiks prime. Already did it but was doing bounties and got all the way to Sepiks so feel like might as well offer a free nightfall so it's not wasted!

Had the kill 10 majors or ultras (for Eris) and I never did the pocket infinity bounty that I got months ago so was working on that, and ended up at Sepiks :lol: Feel like it'd be a waste if I just quit as sepiks is pretty easy

Also did anyone get the husk of the pit and level it up to the legendary or exotic gun? Turns into an arc auto rifle I think. Got two of them but they're supposed to be pretty rare apparently.

I've levelled it up to the legendary version. It is still rather crap. We all have to wait until the hard mode raid to get the Crux of Crota to upgrade it to the exotic version.
 
Not played this for a while, as I have been hooked on Dragon Age....but I logged in last night and picked up a couple of Icebreakers for when I inevitably come back. :D
 
Is it just me, or is it a bit weird that the Archon Priest is in the daily bounties every day?

I know that they had the Sword of Crota mission pretty much every day pre-DLC to make people practice with the sword. You think they might letting us practice on that strike due to some kind of HM mechanic?

There's nothing that unique about that strike though. The only aspect that is a bit unusual is using the pikes, but that definitely won't be involved in the hm raid.
 
If anyone is short on things to do today, I'd be very grateful to anyone willing to run me through nightfalls and/or the xyor part of the thorn bounty.

Yeah that's what i was thinking as well, just couldn't think of why it would suddenly appear a number of days in a row.

Managed to do xyor solo in one run (thanks partly to the warlock revive, though I only used it once I think). Took me about an hour and a half though!

Why did you solo it? I used lfg. Still, you got it done and that's all that matters. Love hand cannons... especially on my hunter.

Haha, yeah. I was up to Phogoth and saw you guys were in the tower and thought you might be able to quickly jump in and speed things up for me! And afro, I probably could have used lfg, but my laptop has been crashing loads lately and it doesn't work properly on my phone, so I thought I'd give it a go solo. It wasn't all that difficult, just time-consuming!

Yea, I hear ya. Sometimes you just wanna see if you can do it... Solo'd the nightfall up until Septik a few days back for the lols, tried the balcony trick but it just doesn't work very well with the boss and every add concentrating fire on you. Gave up...
 
Dunno what to say mate... just bailed myself. They clearly haven't done Crota many times without cheesing. Blitzed Vog with them twice, and then this?

I'm sorry. Was headed to bed when you sent the initial invite, but thought I'd join and try and help out. I was the only 32 in a sea of 31s afterall. Didn't count on jonfrickingtimmy though. I grabbed the sword once, went to try and whack Crota, but when nobody frickin says when Crota's shield is down to, say, half health it's pretty impossible to judge. Still, I managed to get two hits in (probably more like one and a half as I think the first one didn't get much contact as I was in a rush), and so I went back down. After that, every time I tried to get to the sword, jonfrickingtimmy got there first. When you've got a 32 in the team, no matter how little their experience with the sword, surely they're a better option than jonfrickingtimmy who, at most, got two hits in then died.

Seriously, when they don't say at all what his shield is at, it's fecking hard to judge as a warlock when to go, so that latter time I went up early and got killed... jonfrickingtimmy took it as a sign that I should never be trusted with the sword again but everyone should tell him what Crota's health is at instead of trusting the 32 with the sword and telling him when it's safe to hit Crota.

That was my first attempt! But from the little experience I had, I'm confident I can do better if given a couple more attempts and the communication on what his shield is at.

My Titan is at 32 too so I could have used that, but from what I noticed there wasn't much issue with getting the Warlock on the platform if I was at the right place... just the timing of it all which was the downpoint.

Groups look at trying to get it all done as fast as possible which usually results in one person using the sword and nobody else which means there aren't too many around with sword experience. When I was doing the raid the other day with PlayerOne and Dargon I think both of them said they hadn't used the sword before either. I do reckon it's something that is straightforward to get to grips with though... if you get the chance to do it, take it but ensure that the others tell you where Crota's shield is at.
 
By rights, someone who is shooting should be telling you exactly when to jump up and go anyway. It shouldn't be down to the swordbearer to make the call.
