Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

@Adam-Utd @Dargonk - After the first sword assault, does the Hunter have to go back to the rock, or can you get away with just backing up to the edge of the platform? If I can stay on top, it'd allow me to gauge when to start the second assault myself, which allows the others to concentrate on their aim, rather than keeping an eye on his shield so they can tell me when to engage again.

I'm online now, if anyone wants to do some bounties or the like?

Seems to be all about the bladedancer settings. There's an option which makes you invisible for a period when you melee, so at the end of the first sword assault you drop the sword, melee Crota to go invisible then you can stay on the platform.

Yeah, i was thinking about invisibility last night. The crouch invisibility would take too long, I think. The melee one is instant, but relies on having Blink Strike charged. Definitely worth giving it a shot, though.

In theory if you can get invisible quickly enough then yes you could hide, but the R1 attack won't keep you invisible long enough for Crota not to spot you IMO. You could use your super as a blade dancer and go invisible, but then you can't attack with the sword I believe - not actually tried that though.

To be honest that's all well and good, but if everybody kills Crota quickly enough there is no need to mess about, just get in do your hits and get out. No point risking getting hit and then getting oversoul with trying to go invisible.

I didn't have invisibility in mind when I posted that, mate. I was thinking about just backing up and trying to avoid him, rather than dropping back to the rock.

Oh OK, no chance as soon as he gets back up he hits you with his sword, even if you are on the very edge I have died as his sword has a wave damage attack after he swings. If that doesn't work he will just shoot you with his hand energy bullet things. By all means give it a try, but I am certain that won't work or people would be doing it already instead of jumping off.

@Brocky In Black - Cheers for the piggy-back! I definitely deserved a legendary engram just for sitting through that stupid cut-scene again though!

Ah, yeah, I forgot about his projectile attack.

@tom33 - First you join my daily, after I have finished it and then as I am at the end of the cut-scene that I don't have time to tell you why I don't have time to explain about....I then have to sit waiting for you to watch it....and then you get shards, which is what I need!

@Brocky In Black, I'm genuinely not trying to avoid the actual shooting! Just finished a patrol bounty and thought I might be able to help you out this time! At least I revived you once, so I helped out a tiny bit!

I have a Vex sat in the vault doing nothing that you can have... :smirk:

The three weapons I want more than anything are:
  1. Vex Mythoclast
  2. Gjallarhorn
  3. Fatebringer
In that order. Vex probably just takes first spot as there are three chances to get it each week and every time I'm disappointed :( Still got two more to go this week though.

I just really want Ice-Breaker now. A MIDA 2.0 would be nice. Also Adam had a rifle of some kind that looked cool. It had a bayonet on the front and was covered in blood.

I think we're all on apart from Ducklegs who is online but not in Destiny, and Razvan who is on caf but not PS4.
I was having a quick blast on Warframe before dinner.
