What weapons did you use for it?
Mostly the Mythoclast, just to see whether it was any more impressive in PVP. I'd say Suros should be plenty good enough though, as long as you're cautious. Don't go charging towards the nearest blip on the radar, wait for them to come to you. The only frustrating thing while I was playing was some guy spamming the warlock blink, which was ridiculously difficult to combat.

Oh, and stick with teammates as much as you possibly can. Then even if you get taken out, chances are your teammate can finish the other guy off and you'll get the assist.

There's no weapon in the game called Punisher mate :p

What's a single point sling?

Its a perk, lets you move faster while aiming down the sights, you swtich weapons faster too. Its actually a bit of a waste of space with ... whatever the shotgun is called, as you'll one shot with hip shots.
I tend to aim down the sights regardless though. Just habit i guess, a bad one which i should break really.
Would be good if you were using a handcannon or AR primarily though - quick weapon swap would be useful.

If you get yourself a good Skirmish team @Damien you can complete it in one game.

Skirmish is a good idea for it.
Matches in that tend to be won by landslide.
Vehicle levels would be good too. Wont be quick but sitting on a turret or in a ghost will get you some easy kills.

I'd use an assault rifle. They're good in any and every situation.
As a shotgun user theres some areas of maps i avoid like the plague, too open.
Being familiar with the levels or peoples habits helps a lot with that.

But yeah, you'll have a hard time finding a spot that the ar doesn't get the job done.

Turrets are hit and miss really, you can find yourself being sniper bait pretty quickly, especially on that moon map. Vehicles though are an easy 5+ kill streak if you play it cautiously and patiently.

I find they tend to be ignored till people get grumpy with them (after having been killed a couple of times)
Just something to do while waiting for respawns on vehicles.

Thanks all.

So something like: Hawkmoon, Found Verdict, Hezen Vengeance would do in terms of loadout? I know you haven't done the raid and might not have Hawkmoon so you probably won't have experience with any of the three Kaos, but you're experienced at PvP.

First two are solid, I'd swap Hezen for a seeking launcher like Truth or Gjalalalalahorn so you hardly miss. Edit: Just realised they're exotics, Hezen is fine.

Suros Regime is pretty overpowered in PVP too, so you can use that as your pot shot weapon of choice. Give both that and Hawkmoon a try and see what you're more comfortable with.

Problem is Truth and Gjallarhorn are exotic and so is my primary (though hopefully one day I'll get Fatebringer as apparently that is beastly in PvP so can put my Truth in)

I have an Unfriendly Giant legendary missle launcher, that had tracking on it

My question to the pvpers is, do you really find time to aim down sights and lock on to enemies? I find I barely have time to jump and shoot the ground near them which is enough for a kill in most situations. I'd love to have time to aim with Truth and watch it ensure a kill, but I feel like when I do that I'm often dead as well

I tend to use machine guns but i'd say no, i wouldn't wait.
Theres a good chance they have a rocket launcher or a machine gun at that point and they wont hang around. And standing around trying to line up a shot leaves you quite open.
Its not like you need to be careful with a rocket launcher anyway, splash damage is enough to kill pretty comfortably.

I get most of my ranged Truth kills by lock (up close as you say just hit the ground near them)... it really doesn't take that long to lock on tho.

Really? Where from? drop?

It depends on your playing style and on the map. If the map is big and you like to hand back then you'll have time to aim and lock on, but if you like to go into the fight then no, you won't have enough time.

I go with shotgun, Suros and Unfriendly Giant, but mine doesn't have tracking.

Yeah. And now that I look, my Admonisher legendary also has tracking. That was from an engram too.

I've maxxed it out as its void so its handy for VOG

The other perk is fairly useless though, "increases the pick up radius of ammo drops for this weapon" :D

I love the 'find more ammo' perk for heavy weapons... my Corrective measure is pretty much always stocked...

So now I have the PVP section of the Thorn bounty to do. Could we maybe get a fireteam together after the raid or something?

Doing the raid with some randomers and there are actually 3 chests in gorgons maze.. after all this time ffs:lol:

You only get that chest if you stop the Templar teleporting.

Yeah thats the "5th chest" that was first reported a number of weeks ago where there were all kinds of theories, like "you cant die!" even though the team who discovered it stated they had several people die before they got there :D

Wonder if people will find the 6th chest. Someone on the Bungie forum said he found it but I think it turned out to BS.

Ok, so what's the plan for raid? I've eaten so can be ready following inevitable juggling of guns and ammo packs. Are we using mains to get to Oracles and then cheesing with alts?

Right, quick question. Got an exotic bounty again.

What would you recommend? The Pocket Infinity or Super Good Advice, will do either as no crucible stuff involved.

Ducklegs said he'd be on around 8 so guess we'll be starting around then. Yeah I think we'll do that as we stand little chance of doing first bit with alts
