Yeah, you can't buy the legendary stuff. I think you may have been able to for the first few weeks, as I remember checking whether it was possible, but by the time I had enough marks, they'd changed it.

Already enjoying it immensely! Started as an exo hunter. I will only have an hour or so to play at a time but I guess it's got a few hours on it. Any ps4 players and apologies for probably covering old ground but this is a large thread to read through!

Yeah theres no denying its a grindfest. Even the raid loot isnt strictly about earning it, its about luck. Someone can do hardmode atheon 20 times and only get shards, whereas I get head and mythoclast first time.
I'm going to have to run a load of bounties on this, let me switch characters.
Yeah, I did the normal raid loads of times, got five pairs of gloves and little else, then tried it with my alts and got Vision of Confluence and Atheon's Epilogue first time
So what's the consensus on raid XP?
Definitely got experience on my Atheon's Epilogue. About a quarter of a circle from start of raid to getting the relics on Atheon on normal mode.
Didn't get anything for my Ice Breaker from the raid this week.
well Damo seems to be the anomaly here, although I think Duck may have said he got XP too. But I definitely didn't...Maybe you get XP as they are raid weapons.
The consensus on reddit seems to be that the only part of the raid that gives XP is the Atheon bit.

Maybe only items earnt in the raid, gain experience? No coincidence only Atheon's is getting it. Perhaps the Sniper you earn get's it too? What about the Vex Mythothingy.
I've got three Found Verdict's from the raid. When it resets tomorrow I can use one of them to experiment and see, along with some random legendary I've not leveled up yet and not from the raid.
I'll be on around 7 tomorrow. Hoping to do the nightfall, weekly & daily, if anyone wants to do the same then pipe up. Also possibly the raid if we have time.

I am currently getting rinsed in Crucible, averaging about 0.65 kdr... yeah it's my teams average but wtf.
I have games like that. And then on the other hand have games where I literally walk through teams (think my highest score is 8250 on a game of control). Its so odd.

Yeah ill get frustrated fairly quickly when its happening and i just dont play well in that situation.
Just start making mistakes and trying to push for kills that aren't really on and stuff like that.
I know all about those ones from BF4 (tunnelvision), this games not been so bad for it... but then I mostly PvE on this at the mo. Used to be 50-50 now it's more like 70-30.

I started keeping note. I'm level 32 Cryptarch now and haven't had a Legendary in a package since level 21 which is when I got, to be fair, an exotic.

Sorry didnt see your message before I got a group playerone. Finished it with my hunter alt, rest of the night i guess ill look for Atheon normals
I can only play in short bursts, so those random moon missions suit me perfectly.
@tom33 was doing that strike for the bounty and my telemetry was about to run out... hence my rushing about and doing the lvl 22.
