Is a safe place to jump down.
Jump down to the bottom, look to your left on the back wall there is a ledge, jump on that face into the arena and you can double jump into an alcove that you cant get hit in.
Sit and snipe away to your hearts content.
I have an exotic helmet and armour ready for my new guy too

Farming relic iron is a pain, but I need a fair amount to level up my leg armor.

Cabal warbase.
Start in the bottom right hand corner as you approach it and just do circuits of all the rooms and around the large structure at the back, you will get over 50 an hour.
Varies really, I'll add you now anyhow - I'm only level 8 as it stands.

Cheers ducklegs - is the Cabal warbase at Scablands? I think I know where you mean - I didn't realise the chests respawned or that you could effectively rinse and repeat the area without leaving it completely.
Yep just keep going round and round.
Every now and then a random one will give you 10 iron, a blue engram, 250 glimmer and a heavy/special syth as well.
You get a public event spawn every 30-40 minutes as well so its a good place for shards/energy.
Well that's a pretty tough nightfall!
Nice work guys, took us a while but we got there in the end.
That was just ridiculous. Just annoying that I had found the near perfect safe place but got a bit too close to the edge and got killed. When I later tried to get back there the minotaurs got me. Definitely don't recommend doing nightfall if you're below level 28.
