Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Glad they nerfed Vex Mythoclast... Played an Iron Banner yesterday and came up against an entire team with that bloody gun, got absolutely destroyed instantly.

Also pleased they are needing ARs as they are without doubt the most effective weapon currently and have no real drawbacks. In PvP with my pulse rifle it always felt like I was bringing a knife to a gunfight.
 
Haven't experienced the Mythoclast, using it or being killed by it. I could see that coming though, the AR nerf isn't a huge surprise but why nerf the PI. I've seen absolutely no-one complaining about it...

So from a 8 shot salvo down to 3, pretty much pulse rifle territory. The recoil was massive but I had gotten the hang of that so I hope they are going to decrease that and maybe massively lower the reload... cnuts...

So they've nerfed autorifles while buffing scouts :drool:

Maybe now less than 99% of players will use auto rifles in PVP.
 
Also, what's the most efficient way of collecting Ascendant shards?

I'm now fully decked in legendary/exotic gear which I've leveled up completely but all I'm missing are those damn shards to make the upgrades. Been stuck on lvl 27 for some time now :(

It may not be as bad as it sounds but I was anticipating taking it into the raid as my panic weapon. Aim at a Minotaurs feet, press trigger and hold, and watch it disappear... oh well :(
 
What does it mean by kill volume? I can see why they'd maybe try and stop the whole team (and particularly the relic holder) from sitting on the sniper platforms, but if they're stopping anyone from doing it, I'd have to ask why on earth they bothered putting them there in the first place!

If anyone is interested New weekly strike is earth. Light switch modifier on the standard weekly. I'm on my alt account so can't see the nightfall modifiers.
 
I want to do the nightfall this evening, anyone else plan to do it?

Try picking up a handcannon or scout rifle and aim for the head. Much more satisfying than the spray and pray orgy in PVP.
I'm really used to using an autorifle, had one since I started levelling my character. Do not want to change it for anything! Just tried using a scout rifle and it just didn't feel right, somehow! :D
 
Nightfall should be easy enough, it's the Devils Lair. Easiest daily yet, done it with Tom in about 3 mins.

Also, that sweet Scout Rifle buff couldn't have come at a better time, the Cryptfeck finally decided to stop trolling me and gave me this beaut for leveling my Cryptarch rank :)

Bad level design.

Without the snipers you could move as a team around the map and take the mobs on with concentrated fire as opposed to having to keep moving because of the the snipers.

You could stick by a downed player and revive him, you could cleanse the whole group etc, no problems.

They have effectively given the player base a puzzle and got really pissy and fecked off about it because the player base has found a way to reliably beat it.

What they should of done, was go away and think of a harder puzzle rather than artificially restricting the tools you have to beat this one.
 
I remember when those snipers could ohk us.... the bad old days huh? Really looking forward to seeing what is 'harder' on the tier2 version...

Those shielded guys took a bit of beating.
They did, I've still only got a rare Auto Rifle. I'm after marks so I can buy a legendary AF. I've had exotic and legendary for every other gun except the fecking AF
