The fee is going to be underwhelming isn't it ?
Rumour was a loan with option to buyDon't think it will go over 15m.
General feeling of the CAF: just get the deadwood OUT! No matter the price, just get them out. Negotiation team SUCK!The fee is going to be underwhelming isn't it ?
To be fair, we don't have any GK's so I'd be content with him staying.General feeling of the CAF: just get the deadwood OUT! No matter the price, just get them out. Negotiation team SUCK!
*potentially sell Henderson for cheaper than we want*
The CAF: WHAT?! Why’s it so cheap?! Our negotiation team SUCK!
He’s allegedly a bad apple so I’d rather him go but he’ll be a better #2 than Heaton. So we’d need to buy if he goes. As well as getting a midfielder inTo be fair, we don't have any GK's so I'd be content with him staying.
Didnt Palace have a huge problem with a high wages a few year ago. They got rid of some players. Would they be willing to take on 120k a week for a keeper?
No, no it wouldn’tFor 1 season on loan, knowing they can give him back at the end of it I think they would. Any permanent transfer would have to involve a big payoff similar to Maguire.

Henderson wants to leave for game time. Unlike someone who's hanging on the last big contract of his life. For 1 season on loan, knowing they can give him back at the end of it I think they would. Any permanent transfer would have to involve a big payoff similar to Maguire.

The fee won't be much but whatever, just get it done.
This is a ridiculous straw man. We repeatedly set unrealistic prices for our deadwood, and then act surprised when there's no interest and we end up holding onto them until they leave on a free.General feeling of the CAF: just get the deadwood OUT! From an outsiders point of view this is spot on. Fees quoted on here of £25m+ are just insane. We got Matt Turner for £10m including add ons on a wage about half of Hendo’s. Although only two matches in, Henderson is not £15m better than Turner. Given his wages, if you can get £15m I’d take it, get the deal done and say thank you. In many ways Turner suites our game better because his distribution is (much) better then Hendo‘s. Henderson did pull off some fantastic saves last year and it remains to be seen if Turner has that in his locker. This is a ridiculous straw man. We repeatedly set unrealistic prices for our deadwood, and then act surprised when there's no interest and we end up holding onto them until they leave on a free.
I'd rather accept a low but realistic offer than hold out for a price that nobody is going to pay.
Like who? This place won’t be happy until we give away everyone we don’t like for free. This is a ridiculous straw man. We repeatedly set unrealistic prices for our deadwood, and then act surprised when there's no interest and we end up holding onto them until they leave on a free.

I think there's an element of truth to this but it's also a product of us giving out stupid contracts and the club not acting at the right time. This is a ridiculous straw man. Would we actually get any money for him
Get some money for him and put it towards the Amrabat funds. We need a midfielder more right now than a number 2
Rumour was a loan with option to buy
| NEW: Crystal Palace are in the running for Dean Henderson after learning he is available on a loan with an option to buy. [@reluctantnicko]

Forest in June "Can we have Dean please?"
Utd: "yes, of course. That'll be £25m please"
Forest: "Err, you do know he's just had major surgery on his thigh.. how about a loan with an option to buy?"
Utd: " feck off"
Caf: "Who the feck do Forest think they are? Cheap fecking bastards. Pay up you skinflints"
Forest: "Fair enough, laters".
Utd in August: "errmmm.... Anyone want Dean on a loan with an option to buy...? Anyone...? Hello....? Is this thing still on...?"
Caf: "why has this cnut not left yet?".
Forest not playing in the cups?Wrong.
Forest wanted him to play 30 games before triggering the buy option. That’s a ridiculous number of games. Especially when you consider he can’t play versus United, so max number of games he could play is 36.
I think there's an element of truth to this but it's also a product of us giving out stupid contracts and the club not acting at the right time.
If we cashed in at the right time I think we could've quite easily got £20-25m for Henderson (maybe more) but instead we gave him a contract worth over £100k a week and waited a couple of years too long to sell him once it became clear he wasn't going to become number 1 here. I'd be quite happy if we could get £15-20m for him now but as you say, we just need to get him out the door at this point because there's no value in us holding onto him any longer.
I think Deano will leave and the deadline will obviously help that process finally get done!
It shouldn't have been a difficult transfer to make really, but as always the club owners/directors love to dilly-dally and drag every possible decision out for as long as humanly possible. They are best in class at it!
Do you honestly think the club is just procrastinating this window? Nobody wants to pay £25 million for a keeper who hasn't played a minute since suffering a major injury 7 months ago.
Fair enough - LatersWrong.

Forest not playing in the cups?
Yes, it's almost as if he was 100% correct in wanting to be sold off or loaned out in 2021 instead of being kept on the bench for a year. It would have made more sense for both parties.
Roadman outWould we actually get any money for him
