They must be broke this window. Elanga was their 2nd transfer of the window.

Edit: Also if they get relegated what happens?i doubt Henderson would then agree to move.
No it’s not a money issue. I think it’s to do with his injury and the potential risk of him breaking down. We’d then have to go out and loan a top class keeper.

In fairness to Forest - they’re known for being restrained and thorough when it comes to assessing transfer targets so this makes sense.

I think we've made enough sales this summer that FFP is no longer a concern, so an "obligation to buy" deal could work in our favor as it would help us with next year's accounts.

Assume they may meet in the middle somewhere but good we’ve seen through Forest taking the mick there. It doesn’t take 30 games to prove fitness.

The cheek of it. As if we don’t know what Forest are planning

I can sort of understand why they don't want to buy straight off given how he missed most of last season and then needed an operation, but 30 games is ridiculous.

United are obviously only entertaining the idea of a loan to buy to help them out a bit financially this summer, so I can totally understand why they're saying 2/5 games. If we're going to loan him then it has to be 100% understood that you're buying him next summer.

Anything more than 15 games and it's a farce, there should also be a significant loan fee plus full coverage of his wages.

Why though? Aren’t we helping them out with ffp by even agreeing to this?
We have to lessen the liability of Dean getting a long term injury and losing all the value

No team in PL needs a goalkeeper?

Strange that there is not more interest in He derson

In the opposite situation to the striker market there is a glut of decent keepers avaialable. Raya is still on the market along with Robert Sanchez, Illan Meslier and Jose Sa to name a few. Good time to be buying a keeper, tough time to try and sell one. A loan might work in our favor in the end anyway. If Hendo is half as good as he thinks he is his value might actually go up!

Plus if it was a loan for next season that would mean he couldn't play against us right?

So it would have to be 30 games played out of a possible 36 for them to have to pay up?

 feck right off

That is absolute no go

30 games? are they taking the piss

30 games   . Accepting anything above 10 games would be idiotic from us.

The obligation should be a maximum of 12 games. Anything more is poor business.

I'd be doing the exact same thing if I was Forest so it's hard to get mad at them. Are they taking the piss? Yes, they're taking the piss and why wouldn't you.

What exactly is making Dean Henderson an appealing proposition right now for PL outfits? He was one of the lower performing keepers on some metrics. They're being cheeky because they can afford to be cheeky after some average at best PL performances. It would be different if we were garnering interest from 2 or 3 PL clubs which would sharpen Forest's minds but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's probably hard to drum up interest in a keeper on 120k a week that put in those performances that were okay at best. The only reason we have Forest at the end of the line is they had him and he was okay so they're probably thinking better going for a keeper we know, but only if it's a very good deal.

The big mistake we made with Dean Henderson is not making a decison earlier in his career and putting him on far, far too much money for what he'd shown at that point in time. We made a rod for our own backs, a recurring theme with some of these sales that really comes back to bite us on the ass.

If they want some bs 30 game obligation, we should make them pay half of what’s promised (for transfer) as the loan fee at the minimum.

The only reason to go for a loan with obligation is if they dont want to spend the money right now..
Any silly clauses and they can go look elsewhere,

It's because our players are on ridiculous contracts that theres little interest

Henderson should be on 50k tops but hes on over 100k

Who the feck is paying him 100k a week especially a club like Forrest.

Problem is if they pull out we're stuck with an unhappy backup keeper on 100k a week.

They signed Chris Wood on loan in January with an obligation to buy after 3 games, 30 is ridiculous and makes it obvious what they're planning to do.

They paid Lingard 200k a week.

I guess the Forest fans will blame United for the latest hold up as well

Henderson's beloved Forest don't want to fork out any money for him and just want him on the cheap...feck off!

They want to screw us and they even don't hide it. Reminds me on our deal with Lazio about Pereira. When Lazio put 30 mil option to buy.

We should not consider anything that is not an unconditional obligation. 30 matches obligation is essentially them telling us to our face that they won't buy it.
