Coming out on February 12 2016, starring Ryan Reynolds, very excited about this one, first R-Rated superhero movie I think? No trailer yet but here's some pictures from the movie:

Ryan Reynolds...I can barely contain my excitement.

It's got nothing to do with Wolverine: Origins, that pile of tripe is being given a wide berth.

I was sort of excited to hear this was going to be Rated R but then I saw the trailer from Comic Con and it all felt a bit flat to me.

Is this set before the Wolverine Origins story?

@okLaptop1 - you're in the know on these types of things. Any idea?

Yeah like others have said it'll have nothing to do with this. Not to mention that Wolverine Origins probably never happened now after the timeline has been changed from the 70s onwards (after DOFP). Who knows these days, the Fox X-Men timeline is pretty fecked up right.

Nah, there's been loads. Blade, Watchmen, The Punisher just off the top of my head.

Kick-Ass, Sin City, and Dredd as well. I kinda hoped Suicide Squad would be too; not for cursing or gore, but so Ayer wouldn't have to hold back on how ruthless these criminals are.

Still, Deadpool could be good, I don't mind Reynolds actually. Looking forward to it.

Deadpool is a great character, one of the funniest too, and Reynolds could be a really good choice to present him to people.

Thanks for the responses guys.

QUIZ TIME.

Ryan Reynolds has appeared on the big screen as comic book characters before.

Name the movie and name the character.

First person to get this right gets a signed picture of Ryan Reynolds*.

The picture won't actually be signed by Ryan Reynolds.

Green Lantern/ deadpool in the wolverine movie. Easy.

Deadpool (origins), Green Lantern, Hannibal King (Blade Trinity), Nick (RIPD).

Winner! I'll get that signed photo your way at some point today.

Woohoo! Can I swap the poster of Ryan Reynolds for a poster of Kate Beckinsale, and can I swap the poster for the real thing?

Deadpool's a kind of strange one when it comes to the Marvel Universe as a whole due to him breaking the 4th wall and all that. I heard somewhere that the story would begin with him flipping out at how shit X-Men Wolverine Origins was and goes on a rampage. I would love that storyline to be true... would be pure Deadpool

Red band trailer officially out next tuesday I believe.

TBH, cant wait. I remember there was something with Deadpool and a car where he jumps into it but cant remember if that was a leak or what that was? Was still fun.

Deadpool is the only Marvel/DC comic that I've given the light of day and Ryan Reynolds is just a fun actor (remember Two Guys a, girl and a pizza place with him and Nathan Fillion?). I might go actually to the movies again for this one. Maybe.

Poor version of the Comic Con trailer for those who want to see it now:

Was expecting a bit more, as I was pissing myself during the test footage released before.

Hopefully they keep it lighthearted as it appears on the trailer, because they could make deadpool the most likeable comic book character to hit the screen yet.

It was test footage.
