Deadline Day! | Confirmed Signings in OP

Chelsea TV confirms Essien is off to Madrid on a loan deal.

The Pablo Hernandez deal is another great bit of business done by swansea. That lad gave us fits when we played against valencia.

Swansea is definately going to be a fantasy football friendly team.

United +
Chelsea +
Spurs +
QPR +
Liverpool -
Arsenal -

Anyone want to add some more or disagree

We did ok.

City came out level I think.

Chelsea's potentially done very well but might take a while for it to work.

Spurs did ok as well. They strengthened in some areas but like us, their most obvious weak spots remain.

Arsenal and Liverpool really lost out.

Lass is supposed to be going to Anzhi - but the paperwork has until the 6th September to go through. Apparently. Essien is Lass's squad replacement. Apparently.

City did well IMO, got rid of a feck load of wages and made some decent signings.

Even though we've had no action today, I think we performed best today. Everyone else has either panick bought or regressed.

Spurs

GK: Lloris, Friedel, Cudicini, Gomes

RB: Walker, Kaboul (1), Naughton (1)
LB: Assou-Ekotto, Naughton (1), Vertonghen (1), Bale (1)
CB: Dawson, Gallas, Vertonghen (2), Kaboul (2)

RM: Lennon, Bentley,
LM: Bale (2), Falque
CM: Dembélé, Huddlestone, Sigurðsson, Jenas, Parker, Livermore, Sandro,

FW: Defoe, Dempsey, Adebayor

Don't think you can argue with spurs personally. Missed out on their big signing but made 20 million and possibly strengthened their squad in nearly every position.

They needed to sort out the striker situation and get a real goal scorer in. They've got 2. They needed to sign a midfielder and although failed to replace Modric, you can never replace the best. Still they got the Premier League's hot property. They have 4 goalkeepers that the rest of the league would possibly kill for.

Essien to Madrid is such a pointless signing. Lass is a better player as well

I just read we were linked with Cabaye of Newcastle, so at least there was a rumour of interest in a player for us.

Yay!

I got really excited when Howard Nurse denied that we were in for him. There was hope after his tweet!

Good spot by Team Brian, Chelsea forum awash with news of a new signing. Will be announced on Chelsea TV shortly...

They were linked with Remy earlier, but with Chelsea you never know if they've thrown silly money for someone.

How? If they haven't lodged the papers how can it go through?

Let's not forget Daniel Levy is one crafty little feck

Sure, but unless he owns a time machine or fancies breaking into the FA office then I don't see how this isn't a dead duck. Is this going to be one of those where they claim the fax wasn't working or some such shite?

5 live saying (so I'm told) that we've been granted an extension to 1am to sign moutinho

Yeh, always completes good business.

ho ho ho

Keep out of my way if you know whats good for you

I hope if he does have a time machine it blows up sucking White Hart Lane into oblivion, Dembele and all.
