It's pretty clear where the focus was. Really they need Rodgers to get the likes of Downing and Henderson playing so they can get some sort of return for their money. Thought you suspect they'd do well to see £15m combined for them.

They shouldn't if they want his Swansea form. For Iceland he's pretty much never played behind the striker. Bar 1 or 2 games he hasn't looked like he's supposed to be our best player. Different probably playing for a team that will usually have more possession (which are very few Icelandic games) but we'll see. Dempsey is more used to playing out wide.
He won't be too bad because he's the best long passer/crosser in the team and that can suit the wing role well with a striker like Adebayor up top. That midfield certainly looks like a fluid one.

We had an awesome window really
Its rather stupid getting so many players, some really average ones too. Might as well taken a gradual improvement in quality which in turn allows to ship-in and ship-out players required for the team. It would be a achievement gelling that team.
How is the situation with the home grown players rule?
Could be deals not being reported that could still go through. Doubt there will be any exciting ones though.
That is if Sparky is still around by January! That club has been through something like 8 managers in the last couple years.
