I see Ryan Babel has been released. Liverpool done really well to get rid. They bought him for 11.5mil and sold him for 8mil. Hoffenhiem release him and take an 8mil hit. It seem strange. I suppose they couldnt sell him and wanted to save on wages as his contract is up next summer.

This ... and because we have signed both Sigurdsson and Dembele. Plus the 10.3m received for VdV will help further fund what will (hopefully :nervous:) be a flurry of deadline day incomings.

I'd imagine Levy is happy enough to unload any 29+ year old signed during 'arry's regime. None of them are on cheap wages.
