Lloris arriving at Spurs.

With Howard Webb?

Any word why we weren't in for Lloris last year? Cheaper, more experience and more proven than De Gea. Seems odd. Maybe Fergie still has Barthez nightmares.

Transfer deadline day sucks as a United fan :(

Looking at so many clubs signing so many players, while we :(:annoyed:

I just want a CM tbf.

Benayoun is the man everyone wants when everyone else you want doesn't want you and you want a sub.

Please tell me you've got some white font there somewhere?

Lloris isnt half the keeper DDG will be

I've read Lloris is similar to De Gea. Very good shot stopper, but struggles with the ball in the air.

How can you possibly care about not signing players on transfer deadline day? Because you don't get to join in on the utterly Sky manufactured fun?

such a relief not to have to worry about things on this day every season like the other clubs do.

Kagawa, Van Persie, Powell, Buttner all in :) only concern I have with our squad really is if we get any more injuries to our CB's! other than that I think we have a good squad, don't get the CM muppetry at all myself tbh, got plenty of options to play there.

Jesus christ, some people really do have to complain about everything. If we had signed Lloris you would be asking why we did not go after De Gea. :wenger:

Unfortunately none of those options appear to be able to handle physical matches. Will be a nightmare against West Ham, Stoke, City, Everton etc.

It's not like 90% of United fans are stupid, we all know we need a midfielder, and yet, nothing happens.

I don't think he gonna be able to get anywhere near DDG in the next few years, we've got a cracking prospect on our hands.

Thankfully, there is no chance in hell of Yossi coming back here.

How the hell are QPR getting their hands on M'bia? I'm surprised Spurs haven't tied the deal up.

Carrick can do that fairly well, problem is against Everton injuries forced us to use him at CB instead.

I reckon Cleverley can hold his own with a bit of experience as well, Jones is pretty strong too and he can play CM as well.

I think people fret far too much on this, our problem last season was injuries in the main, without them we would have won the title imo. the only other issue was creativity and finishing at times was lapse, but with Kagawa and Van Persie in, I think that problem is now solved.

this season if we avoid injuries we have a great shout at winning the title back.

It's not like it's the simple muppetry of greedy United fans. There have been articles by supposedly knowledgeable and objective football journalists in The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Daily Mail (the list goes on) in recent weeks about our problem in midfield and how we need to bring someone in. It's not greed, it's just common sense.

Our problem for quite a while now is that we can't seem to get a hold of the game whenever we face a team that's hard pressing, and/or a team with a beast in midfield.
You can turn it whichever way you want to, but that's a fact. And we had Carrick playing most of the games when we lost these kind of games just FYI.

This.

We could do with Javi Garcia. Think he'll be a very good signing for City. Certainly better than De Jong and Barry.

Can we leave the angst at us not signing a big midfielder to one of the other hundred threads? We were obviously not going to sign one on deadline day, you'd be a fool to expect otherwise.
