Dead Rising 2

Do it Lance, do it now. You can use MMA gloves with nails in them, boxing gloves with knifes taped to them and a robot teddy bear with a machine gun.

I'm at an annoying bit at the moment where there's 4 snipers hidden around the outside area, takes 2 health bars off a hit. And they need to be hit a lot to be taken down, they're the worst pyscho's so far.

Good stuff Lance, you'll enjoy it mate. And as a present here's a bad picture of the teddy bear that swung it for you.

Sweet. I should have it Monday or Tuesday. Couple of days to get into the swing of things and I am game.

There is no sprint, at level 25 you get a speed boost. Not sure when you get the max upgrade, probably at 50. It's a Japanese game so they're not gonna make it easy for you!

I've got this. Managed to get the first dose of zombrex for my kid and then saved some seterotypical trigger happy southern couple and a stereotypical sassy black woman and her whimpy husband.

I like that there's always a handgun behind the counter of the first store to your left as you emerge from the safe house vent corridor thing. Makes stuff a lot easier.

The boss fights in the 1st game were tough as nails too.

Will definitely pick this up though when it drops in price. Should be able to carry over my level 5 Case Zero save as well which should give me a running start.

Best weapon from CZ was the electric rake. I've heard this one has loads of combos.

ffs I had a shotgun, drill bucket, pistol and a spiked bat, and was looking suave in a tuxedo when I ran into some looters, they kept spraying me with some stuff, next thing I wake up in my boxers in the bathroom with all my weapons gone, found them again in a sports shop and took them out with a golf club while just in my boxers, now because I'm in a rush I'm running to my next mission thing wearing full american football gear

Apparently the boss fights are horrendous.

some of them are tough as old steak, but if you bring along enough food and my personal favourite weapon the boxing glove with knifes in them you can deal with most of them alright.

The hardest for me was the twins, two katana weilding ladies coming at you from all angles. The trick is to concentrate on only one of them.

I've not had the spray thing, i've heard about it but not actually had it myself. I stay away from the looters the only reason i attack them is if i want to get the lightsaber. Yes you read that right.

I'm now battering zombies to death with a giant purple dildo.

I love the MMA gloves with nails in, the boxing glove with knives in and my favourite non made weapon is the broadsword.

Although the Defiler, a sledgehammer and a fireaxe together, is slow but brutal.

 I warned you about the Yucatan.

Next time take 3 steaks in with you, you can find them about the place in the food court. After killing Ted throw a steak infront of you when the tiger charges, it'll eat the steak, do it three times and you have yourself a personal bodyguard.

Just got killed

By some Brandon guy in the toilets, now I have to start back in the underground, fecking annoying. The only reason I went to those toilets was to save!

Why am I finding it really hard to beat these crazy people?
Are these the psychopaths some of you are talking about? The crazy guy in the arena toilets and now the chef have both killed me with ease while I've only taken a tiny bit of their health, I'm level 9 and have just given Katey her second dose of Zombrex, I feel maybe I should be a higher level but then I always feel I have no time to grind as I've always got to do something, plus when I do have time I like to feck about. I feel very rushed.

Yeah the psycho's are pretty tough,

Level 9 is a bit low, but not that far off. Just make sure to rescue everyone you can, and always make a nail bat or two when you leave the safehouse bit. Here's a trick to get a good drink that restores all your life. Go to the cinema in the outdoors area and pick up the jellybeans in there, go nextdoor to the Juggz shop and mix the jellybeans with bottles of beer found in that shop using the blender. Make as many of those as you want as they come in very handy.

Grinding isn't your best bet either, as only killing with made weapons gets any decent amount of PP. You can give gifts to Katey to get some easy pp. You should be able to get a bag of marbles, a beachball and a pony on a stick and one of those big cuddly toys from the kids shops very close to the safehouse. You can only give her certain things though, a watergun, a funny painting from a mission and the rest of the big cuddly toys are your lot.

Oh and if guns are your thing there's a good gun shop in the Pallisades mall top floor.

Just stick at it, if you're finding it too hard you can start the game again and keep the level you're at now.

Argh!

Just got to the final boss and as i swing my wrench for the killing blow he hits me, causing a double KO. I get the trophy for finishing the game but don't get to see the ending, not annoying at all.

So, I gather this is a tad on the difficult side? Worse than Demon's Souls?

I am really looking forward to playing it. Unfortunately, I don't believe Shopto ship on weekends, so it will likely be Tuesday before it arrives.

Spoiler regarding right near the end of the game

I knew the Liam Neeson lookalike was the bad guy right from the start, it got more obvious as the story progressed, but I knew alright, I knew

Also that has to be the most inept and pathetic military force ever used to attack a horde of zombies. If a guy swinging a broom can last three days how'd a military force only last 5 minutes?
