De Gea post-season interview: "Ones who want to stay, stay at the club. Ones that don't want to stay go out. You don't have to stay here."

Fair play. I hope the ones who don't want to be here do actually feck off.
Quite sure a lot of wasted spots will want to stay because they want easy money.

Meh. He's been there throughout the whole post-Fergie mess, he needs to take responsibility as well.

How can it get to a point where not just one but multiple players don't want to be at a great club like Manchester United? There's millions who would die to play on that pitch.

Honestly in total confusion at that.

He couldn't wait to say that and I'm sure he's one of the players who hated the insta oriented players
problem is if he had that attitude most of season, others can tell. so not really that helpful - and he had two utterly shite seasons too

De Gea has limits as a goalkeeper, and we might need a new one soon, but the idea that he should go too after this season is ridiculous. One of the few who can hold his head high.

you'll see more players turning us down in the coming weeks, I'm sure

The squad is just littered with instagram-obsessed cowards who are only interested in protecting their own cultured media images.

And we all know who they are. And unfortunately we're still going to be stuck with a few of them next season.
Who are we stuck with? At least Pogba and Lingard are out the door.

He doesn't have the most aggressive style as a GK, but he's been part of a title winning team and has rebounded back from a poor season or two. He has character and mental strength, but too many people don't want to accept it.

Lots of players downed tools and he doesn't trust some when it gets time to fight and claw.

If you dont have teammates who you believe will fight for you, you're all fecked. And that's what happened, United got fecked this season.

I thought that it wasn't right to talk publicly?
It isn't. I'm not impressed with this since he hasn't improved much for years now. Plus he's been there throughout all the shite. Needs to take responsibility. Am I bit put off with the way he's talking honestly, as if he doesn't have any improvements to make and it's all his team mates. Anyway, ETH will need to deal with all this.

At one point in the game, I saw him shouting at his defenders to get their attention, think he was saying "vic" before looking away disgusted, and then the camera cut away. Not saying Lindelof is part of the problems, but there is definitely a lack of togetherness at the moment. Hopefully Ten Hag can unite the group again.

If DDG wants to stay he will need to expand his game and adapt.

Which isn’t going happen. He’s just as much of a problem as any other player in the squad. Should we revert back to more possession football that’s when his weaknesses show.

Yeah, have we really hit rock bottom yet while he's still here bailing us out?
How has he bailed us out this season? You could have made the case a few seasons ago, but ever since the season before last he's been a walking mistake.

Go on, lad.

He might not have had the best season (actually he was out 2nd best player after Ronaldo) but he’s not a snake and he gives the club his all.

agree

He was definitely one of the 2 senior players fighting at training.

who are these insta oriented players I keep hearing about? Ronaldo easily has the biggest following and presence out of anyone in the squad on social media and he's been our best player this season

people keep coming up with these things, when the reality is our players just aren't very good.

horrible CB's
comical full backs
non existent midfield
and the guy that people thought was cantona mk.II is a false prophet

Odd. It was absolutely nothing like what it is now for the vast majority of Ole’s reign.
Problem came about when Ole didn't know how to build a squad and just over bloated it, leading to a shit ton of players complaining about a lack of football. And then the squad expecting a step up because of names and then us lacking the coaching or ability to step up leading to more unhappiness and unrest. Also last season things going wrong probably meant we couldn't keep up last season's form.

Good lad De Gea. He has his flaws of course, but he's one of two who can hold their heads up at least somewhat high this season.

Dressing room is an absolute clusterfeck at the moment. Clear out needed.

The attitude has sucked and there's obviously been problems but look at the quality of that team today. That is comfortably lower midtable, no exaggeration, with not a single player i'd call elite or even near world class.

Obviously we have players who were out but ten Hag has got a massive job on his hands with this mess.

And he is an example of a player that wanted to leave, had a medical and extended for a big chunk of money when his move wasn't possible anymore. If I'm being honest I don't trust him at all and wouldn't be surprised if he is just trying to cover his own backside. But the message is in general correct whoever wants to leave or doesn't have the temperament that this club needs should leave, no hard feelings on my part, just leave.

Of course it is both but not equally. The players share more of the blame than the manager.
As always. Players are more important than any manager, its why it's not worth getting excited about next season unless we bring in at least 4/5 new starters with the right attitude and quality.

Ralf couldn't have done worse job though.

It was but we were winning some games.
No. It wasn’t. It may have been tactically naive and lacking in quality but the team were pulling in the same direction. That’s why we finished 3rd then 2nd making multiple semi-finals and a final with a 60% win rate over the 18 months post bruno. Something has gone badly wrong this season behind the scenes.
