This Iranian team is funny- The Persian Ronaldo, Persian Messi, Persian Pogba and none of them play like the players they nick named after

Sometimes I do I guess. Depends on the actual play, and occasion. As I mentioned, being World Cup made an impression on me, so maybe because of that I'm a bit more *forgiving* about games.

I was plenty of times bored in the last club season though.

I don't defend that type of game, but only a few teams seem able to play a more possession or well connected counterattacking style like Mexico did.

Its just different playing well than progressing during the knockout stages. Actually feel England will grow during the competition. Just depends on the nature of the opponent they face when they reach the last 16.

Hopefully, there seems to be a feel good factor about England at this World Cup that we never have.

I wouldn't write Portugal off either, no matter how badly you play you know how to get the result you need. It's actually really impressive.

Not really, the only reason Iran aren't home tonight is courtesy of a 95th minute goal against another poor side in Morocco.

Spain will easily dispatch them tonight and I expect Portugal to beat them too, if not they will at least get a point.

Don't get high hopes for any giant-killing or shock exit in this group.

Half the starting 11 is very good, the other half is below par. It will depend on which half shows up more convincingly on the day imho.

So, apparently, the terrible bug noise from the Morocco v Iran game came from the Iran supporters. One more reason to cheer for Spain tonight (beside Iran's disgusting defensive football).
