Day 4: Morocco vs Croatia | Germany vs Japan | Spain vs Costa Rica | Belgium vs Canada

Kimmich at RB will kill Germany creativity by half at least and solidity in midfield would degrade a lot too.

Too bad for Musiala bad finish, would have been a great goal.

Kimmich is one of, if not the best central midfielder in the world currently. Why would anyone shift him to a full back role.
Goretzka for Gundogan would add more bite. That's really it

Normally its one of Musialas biggest strengths to finish very precise and calm. I think he's bit nervous today.

Considering he's been Bayern's best player this season and is still only 19, probably billions

Really don't think there's any sum that would make Bayern sell him. They're not a bank, they don't need money, they need outstanding footballers.

A travesty Gavi won the golden ball over him. Pedri fair enough, though he won it last year. But Musiala is a ridiculous footballer

Very rarely. Peter Shilton did this and got lambasted for it. Italia 90 might have been the big one. Even though he generally dived the right way.

I remember seeing a video years ago on it. You have about .6 of a second from when the ball is struck until it hits the back of the net. It takes .3/4 of a second to react to the direction of the kick and dive to get it.

It's possible to make a save and is some cases you might but in most you'd be diving after the ball has it the net.
Yes, but penalty takers have now gone the opposite way.

They know keepers are gambling early, so they just wait then kick it to the opposite side. I've never seen so many penalties roll into the middle of the goal with barely any speed on them.

It goes in patterns, and keepers just need to be brave and stand up a little longer. I'm certain they'd save more doing that than gambling early at present.

This Germany is begging for a striker.

Japan can’t cope with this German press. Constantly giving the ball away in silly positions.

Unbelievable this game is still relatively open with just 1:0. They really need to work on their finishing or they have no chance against better opponents who won't grant as many chances. Japan is very weak.

Germany have been ridiculous here but somehow it's only 1... Could bite them in the ass.

Eh the finishing will even out. Wouldn't worry about that.

Not convinced by Havertz tbh. Rather play Füllkrug at this point.

I think it's a worry if a team dominates like that, creates as many chances but isn't able to score from open play, yet looks so weak defensively itself.

The feck was that from Rudiger.:lol::lol:

So many missed chances. Klose would have a hattrick by now.

Recently when I watch Football games, I think about this sentence that coaches used to tell us, "the ball travel faster than the legs". Is it me or way too many players don't follow that logic and try to carry the ball way too much in situations where a pass and move is the obvious and easier option?
