I miss the old days when the Dutch had good players.
There is some quality in both teams but neither look like they are likely to go much beyond the round of 16 unless they get a favourable draw, which I suppose given how many teams will go through is possible.
Don't understand why they're not bringing on their centre, Weghorst, then Memphis can play off the screen

It's not that simple. He s been huge for the national team on many occasions but he's not a RvP, RvN, Bergkamp, Cruyff, Kluivert, Van Basten and all the other great forwards theyve had. I gotta give give him credit for often stepping up in an era when their teams have been uncharacteristically underwhelming.
Definitely not. He's built an entire profile of the player based on 60 odd minutes. He's the worst.

He could play for Italy given he was born and raised in Rome. Little chances he become the next Totti/De Rossi though, Roma have tried to sell him for €15/20m several times in the past 12 months.
He made the correct decision to represent Poland anyway. With Dimarco, Udogie, Spinazzola and soon Atalanta's Ruggeri in his role he would never be call up by Spalletti
