To clarify, I don't think the quality level has been that impressive but the general approach has been much more watchable than previous tournaments with everyone playing boring ass possession football or parking the bus to counteract it.
Games have been open, numbers committed forward, some good stuff, some poor quality, but in general a very promising start.

The tournament ref said they wouldn't be adopting the ludicrous injury time so looks like it's' back down to 30 secs or they're not including goal celebrations in the general stoppages.
There was about 8 minutes in the Italy game wasn't there so we'll still see it on occasions where one team is trying to run down the clock with injuries and subs.

Injured or unpicked? This Netherlands team looks very below average except for arguably Van Dijk & Ake.
Very reliant on Frankie De Jong to make them tick. Shame for them he's out of the tournament. But they do look average. In comparison, I don't think Italy have the greatness of squads but they looked so sharp yesterday. You could see them picking up steam and getting better as the tournament progresses.
The Dutch? Just dont have the elite players at the moment.
