I'm not so sure. South American posters said that Argentinians would prefer Brazil winning rather than an European team as long as it wasn't against them. Continental solidarity overcomes local rivalry for them. They'd just hate to lose directly to Brazil more than anything. If that's really the case then the sentiment is probably reciprocal from the Brazilian side.
