By that logic you can never kick a ball in the air anymore.Reckless and high, it was a blatant red.

I get that but calling them ordinary is just disrespectful imo. They are all very good teams at this level. Maybe not individually but collectively. England with the players they have should have dominated that game today start to finish. Great result for you and a win is a win but I still think the talent in the squad isn’t being utilised properly.
It wasn't a tackle that's whyHow can some say thats not a red, it was a shocking tackle
Each and every one that said not red, if it was in a PL game against a United player, you would be screaming for the red.
The Ukraine player will be lucky to be playing again anytime soon.
I mean would you really say he is an ”offender”? Clearly went for the ball to clear it. Not intentional tackle.“He got the ball first” as the offender stands roasting someone to death with a flamethrower.
Yeah, and it would still have been completely incidental. You can break someone's leg without breaking any rules.
Yeah, not sure what the defender is meant to do when he's played the ball. It's bad luck, but it's the attacker who gets their late, not the defender.I don’t understand football, should the defender simply ignore the ball if he doesn’t see an attacker making a stupid run right into him?
Was responding to his point if you read it.wasn’t a tackle
You can’t try and break someone’s leg to clear it, noBy that logic you can never kick a ball in the air anymore.
Don’t look at the outcome, look at the actual “challenge” which is being penalized. He bent his leg backwards
Reckless ….Definite RedBy that logic you can never kick a ball in the air anymore.
ExactlyIt's not a tackle. It's a clearance. The ukranian is late to the ball and runs into Danielson's foot. Looks bad, but I think it's unfair.
Tough luck but if there's one man who can hold a defence on his own it's... well you know who it is.
Why put your knee through a foot? I don’t think it’s a clear red.Not through the blokes knee, that would be a good start.
He “tried to break his leg” while he didn’t even know he was gonna be there? What a genius! You can’t try and break someone’s leg to clear it no
Not a red folks...
Yeah it's baffling that they made him hobble around half the pitch. Why’s he not been stretchered off??
By that logic you can never kick a ball in the air anymore.
Nah, he didn't. He kicked a football cleanly. Then there was an unfortunate, accidental contact. But he did break the rules, and by enforcing them, we limit the situations where leg breaks can happen.
This, imo.I get why it's a red card, but I just don't think the punishment fits the crime. Hes just clearing the ball. It wasn't even a challenge, and it certainly wasn't malicious. His motion is upward to clear the ball. It's unfortunate that the contact came when his let was fully extended.
Exactly. That was beyond footballWhoever says that isn't a red, I want you to tell me what is! He's lucky he isn't more seriously injured!
He could even be seriously injured now actually
Yeah if anything the Ukrainian player was late here (unfortunate for him).I guess we have to start thinking about football as sport where leaving the ground is simply never acceptable.
Always play stood upright.
Not through the blokes knee, that would be a good start.
We see it differently clearly. That was hardly a tackle, he cleanly cleared the ball first. If anything the other guy ran into the studs.
Whatever you want to call it, a proper one shouldnt leave the other guy in a wheelchair..Don’t look at the outcome, look at the actual “challenge” which is being penalized.
Not a red folks...
Are people seriously saying that’s a red card. The slow mo as usual makes it look far worse than it is. That’s never a red card. I’d have been sent off 3 times a game if that’s a red card, complete joke a decision, I’m convinced anyone that thinks that is a red has never played the game.
