Agreed, that's why I think if Belgium can demonstrate a solid mentality in the knockouts that they are the team to beat. Something that I felt Germany lacked was a proper match winner who can take over when the going gets tough + a proven striker to bang them in. Belgium have 2 match winners in Hazard and De Bruyne plus our man Lukaku who's been great so far. On top of that they have a glittering defensive setup (on paper).

I beg to differ. It might be a blessing in disguise. Now that the opposiotion start to be a tad harder I would go for Luis Felipe in any case. He is class above in actual defending over Marcelo. It's not like Brasil needs more attacking power.
And the left flank is gungho anyway with Marcelo on. The only one who gives a shit about defending is surprisingly Coutinho. He is the mvp hands down for Brazil. Without him covering Neymar's antics and doing the actual defending for him the Brasil would be fecked on the left flank. Willian helps def on the other flank.
