Day 11: England vs Panama, Japan vs Senegal and Poland vs Colombia

What a penalty. Let's hope he takes them like that if we get to a shoot-out :nervous:

I don't really care about England (except for my bet) but Panama are fecking cnuts and I hope they lose in the most humiliating fashion.

Normally you want to like the underdogs but these Panama players make you absolutely despise them

This is the most disappointing group in the competition. 2 decent teams, 2 rubbish ones, and the group will be over before the competent teams meet.

That's gotta be one of the best pen's I've ever seen. Ridiculous pace on it.

That’s how to take a penalty!

What even are the Panama farmers complaining about after the penalty? I’d be happy never to see this lot at a World Cup again.

The coverage is insufferable, yes it was a well taken penalty against Panama. Why don’t we knight him for it?

If the ref doesn't control the Panama players, someone is getting injured in this game.

Does the Lingard family have some insidious history with Panama we do not know about? They are trying to kill him.

How on earth did Panama qualify for the WC?

The US got overconfident and Panama got very jammy.

If you guys think Panama is dirty and aggressive, just watch a Honduras game. Dirtiest national team in the sport, bar none.

Loving Lingard at this World Cup. One of England’s best performers in years.

Great penalty.
Yeah, I'm going to get stick for this and he's nowhere near the calibre of player but his movement reminds me so much of Kaka.
He just finds the gaps that causes chaos in the oppositions defence.

Lingard hasn't been great so far this WC. Fantastic movement but he has yet to show his best

Two players charged across him and didn't get the ball.
One tried to hold him and the other put his hip into his side to knock him over. Why some are saying it's soft. It was a definite penalty. Although if an elbow doesn't get one then goodness what does.

There wasn't much in the way of contact. Lingard stopped in his tracks and the Panama defenders ended up running in to him. Don't think it was a penalty at all.

Well, he needed to stop, setting himself up for the shot. He's under no obligation to keep running at full pelt.

How did they miss Loftus Cheek being booked, I saw that! They're getting paid for this. I'm sounding like a broken record but BBC's coverage has been piss poor this tournament in terms of pundits and commentators.

Can see us catching them on the counter if they play this far up the pitch.
