Day 10 | Scotland v Hungary | Switzerland v Germany

I feel like if you’re going to have a “4 best 3rd place sides go through” system, then the first knockout round should be a 1st against 16th, 2nd against 15th etc format.

This way feels a bit lopsided.

Adams is a problem. He's not up to it.

McGinn has a fantastic arse. And I don't mean to look at, he uses it very well in a football sense.

It's dopey as feck.

The next World Cup is going to have a similarly shite first knockout round, with 32 of the feckers in there.

It's two teams with limited quality in a nervy game, unlikely to ever be a thriller. Both will be hoping to nick it...

Billy Gilmour is underachieving in his career. For me has the ability to be playing at a top side.

Genuinely harder and more impressive to get knocked out in the group stage rather than qualify.

If they were going to make the pool stage a participation medal affair, I don’t understand the argument against just having 32 sides qualify and top 2 from 8 groups?

Bit of a sucker punch there for the Germans, but they’ll still win this handily.

Switzerland score... surprisingly great attack by them.

Adams on that counter attack  playing like a team who’s 1-0 up in the 90th minute defending a lead
