On rewinding Varga looked either unconscious midair, or landed right on the back of his head and was immediately out. Hard to see what caused it other than the landing.
Looked a penalty in real-time and looks worse in stills. No attempt made to make contact with the ball. Every attempt to bring down the man. 100% penalty. Shocking that it wasn't given.
So many individual errors plus unusual bad setup for Germany… do they do prefer the Italy(Croatia) & England(Slovenia) route to the SF maybe?
