He did. He'll miss the game against us.
Thought so that’s great news with the form he’s been in lately.
He did. He'll miss the game against us.
Yeah - he'll be rested for the cup game. Great news....He did. He'll miss the game against us.
Tactical genius today Dave, well done. Wtf was that though? Surely his onfield players today can’t be happy with him there, many were capable of taking a pen.
Hindsight pseudo-psychology nonsense judging his decision to bring on a penalty taker, but meh
You don't think bringing him on like that to take it puts extra pressure on the player? And that extra pressure might just make him a worse choice of taker than someone already in the pitch?
I still think he'd more likely score than not as you'd have to be really affected to have a less than 50% chance of scoring, and of course Rice may also not have scored anyway.
I just don't see how it can help. Bringing on a goalie, well that can help if it plants the seed that they've brought on their penalty saving specialist. It doesn't work the other way around, no goalie is going to fear being scored against, but taker's do fear missing/having it saved.
He bottled it today, forcing his side to sit back and defend that most priceless of points. Such a shame it backfired on him.
Worth pointing out that if Ole did something similar, he'd be crucified.
Moyes is not our manager, so why would we crucify him?
Nor is he managing the biggest club in the league.
and when he was here, we did crucify him. Yes he is not fit to clean Ole's boots, but why bring up Ole in this thread makes no sense. You misread the last sentence.
But he did manage the biggest club in the league, the current champions of England at that. He was so horribly out of his depth that he barely lasted 9 months in charge. Not fit to clean Ole's boots.

No matter who is our coach, media and fans will always criticize them.
It is not like Van Gaal or Jose, had smooth runs either.
yes when he has the likes of Pogba, Cristiano, Greenwood, Rashford(when fit), Cavani(when available) and Bruno, and if he sits back and still lose 2-1, he should be criticized.Probably because I've seen numerous posts suggesting Moyes is a better manager than Ole.
And make no mistake, if Ole had ordered the side to sit back and defend a point, at home no less, he would have been crucified - or in the internet equivalent of crucified anyway. I just thought it was worthy of mention.

and your point is?Moyes had RVP, Rooney, Hernandez, Mata, Carrick and many other league title-winning players at his disposal but still failed miserably. He also signed Fellaini.
He proved himself incapable of managing at the highest level.
and your point is?
If Ole being better than Moyes makes you happy, be happy, but fans do not look Moyes a benchmark.
We all know who is our benchmark.
He's doing a very nice job there, but it's always good to beat him to say the least.
The shocking job he did here must not be forgotten just because he's finally got it right somewhere almost a decade on.

Indeed though a few have been climbing out of the woodwork on here recently and trying to paint Moyes as a victim of circumstance whose tenure here was destined to fail through no fault of his.
Revisionists and the passing of time have done a great job in making out the squad he picked up here was almost non league in quality. And he did amazingly to bravely lead us to the heights of 7th.
