David De Gea

I thought earlier it was said that we were confident of DDG staying?

Either way no need to panic yet. £60m is a lot for a keeper, and looks like it's instant rejection from our side. I have no doubt that if he does go then we'll get our moneys worth, or a quality player in return. I'll only begin to seriously worry that he's going if he hands in a transfer request.

Didn't realise he's been here longer than VDS now. Pretty decent tenure

I never thought we'd get offered as much as 60m, never mind reject that.

£60m is quite fair for a goalkeeper. How much more would people expect?

Whilst swap deals almost never happen with huge deals (can only remember the Ibra/Eto'o deal in recent times) but I just don't see how a pure money offer would be successful.

United don't need the money.
All sources say David is happy and won't push for a move.

This means the deal would have to be on United's terms. IF we were to do a deal then surely one of Modric, Kroos, Isco, Bale has to be involved in it.

Looks like he really is happy to stay. If he wasn't in pretty sure that amount would get it done.

Why would you bid for a GK 3 days before your current GK plays in a CL final?

I didn't think they'd pay the money, but I think we'll sell for around £70m so I expect him to leave now. Can't complain for that sort of money. Hopefully we reinvest all the money in to the team.

Lads, dont worry! I had a chat with De Gea at Ajax Europa league final game and he gave me thumbs up when I told him to stay.
You can see that on the video he gives me a thumbs up lol.

 yes Peshi

Didn't Real's mouthpiece Marca report that they won't bid more than £44m for him? Is sky's source the sun??

As everyone else is saying, world record fee or get fecked. With the pound being weaker against the euro compared to last year, it'll take a big in excess of £100m to be the world record. Which simply isn't going to happen.

Martin Lipton - the sun. Calm down ffs

If it's true, it's months old

After reports he is happy here and that other nob is going to city for not much less.... £90m
Ederson is actually being reported at close to half of that -- I believe I saw £34m. De Gea is quite easily the best out there but he's a goalkeeper after all. There's absolutely no way anyone is paying £90m for one. The fact that he's happy to stay could possibly add an extra £5-10m I suppose.
Fair is not applicable at this level. We don't need money.
Of course we don't. But value for money that is a fair offer.

I didnt see Real paying around 70m or whatever they will offer next for De Gea, they already have a very good GK for them, it is quite mad that they splash the cash on someone that they dont need that much.

Personally i'm not interested in what a fair price would be, only what I would consider acceptable for us and £60m isn't going to cut it, not by a considerable distance.

What's acceptable for us is not selling. If a move were to substantiate, £60m is absolutely fair.

Don't know what I would be thinking if I was Keylor Navas, especially just days before the UCL final.

Seems odd to do this 3 days before the biggest game of the season... Their current goalkeeper must be thrilled

If DDG doesn't want to leave I don't think we'll accept any amount.

If De Gea's happy, I don't see what reason we'd have to sell. Money isn't really an object for us, so unless we had a chance to totally fleece Real (£80M+), this won't be happening.
