David De Gea

Why can't we just say feck off to Real Madrid? We did it last season and now he still has 3-4 more years on his contract, so we hold more power this time. Furthermore, next year is the World Cup and if he wants to go back to Madrid, we'll just sit him on the bench and David De Gea sure as hell won't want to risk that.

I've noticed that a lot of Madrid fans are really happy with Navas in the latter half of their title winning season. If only their president knew that.

Could?

Anyone that's still in denial, wake up and smell the coffee, accept it now or you'll be very hurt when it happens. I suspect we'll replace him well so I'm not overly fussed, the guy owes us nothing he's been top class.

He might be leaving but this is not a sign. This has been done by the players a while now.

Yeah that's just the normal last home game of the season 'thanks for your support' message.

I doubt he posted it anyway, players' social media accounts are all PR/management run these days.
This. It can be read only like that.

The panic here.

If we get a lot of money and he wants to leave... let him go. (With a lot... I mean a lot. In times, when every 19 year old who scored a few goals is "worth" 15 mio, a player like De Gea must bring some real cash into the cash desk.)

(Replacement: I still would go for Leno)

Where's the coffee? Where's the coffee? Where's the coffee?

I've felt he's going to leave all season, so I'm prepared for whatever happens.

The only think I'm dreading is the media narrative his successor is going to have to deal with. Every single mistake is going to be studied to the nth degree and blown out of proportion.

The Good thing with Jose in charge is that when he eventually goes he won't go on the cheap. He will probably leave for around £70-£80mill

If he want's to leave we should just let him go, I'm fed up of it all.

He's been a fantastic player but we've had less time from top players. He's given us six years service which is a decent amount of time given the interest from Real.

"Thank you for your support,God knows that i wont get the same if i join that circus of a club and will be whistled at and booed first moment i feck up"

If Madrid want him, we should have similar demands as last season... Navas + 50 million this time around though, and Jose won't stand for much less.

Think it'll be cash only and I'm not so sure Real will pay what we'd likely demand. And no to Navas :)

The reason why I think he will stay is simple.
Madrid aren't that desperate for a keeper that they will pay 70m pounds for one.

Last year Navas was on his way here. Real will pay because they were quiet last season in the transfer market, and they have cash to splash. I think they're also getting bored with Navas

Two years ago. It also depends who else they are targeting I think.

To be honest I get the feeling that he's staying, been very little talk of Madrid wanting him, Navas has stepped up and been superb from what I've heard. Just feel like he's here to stay now.

Not really. Madrid are Spanish and European champs, so signing De Gea would just be a feather in their cap. They are under no pressure to give up the likes of Kroos or Modric just because we want them.

And we have no real desire to give up DDG. Do we need the money? No. Do Real want him? Yes. DDG want to go, probably. Well put up or shut up.

It doesn't matter whether or not we have a desire to keep him. If he wants to go to Madrid, he will be allowed to do so. He's been a good enough servant over the years to where we wouldn't block him from moving if he wanted it and we certainly wouldn't put unrealistic conditions on the transfer - such as expecting Madrid to give us players, which almost never happens in football.

Not sure what will happen but I'm leaning towards him going. I have a feeling that him signing a new deal last year also led to a gentleman's agreement thar he could leave the following year.

If he goes it will be disappointing but I'm ready for it now.

Agreed. Whatever happens, I expect if he's going it'll be sorted fairly quickly (before July) unless Madrid's valuation of De Gea is well below ours.

" I do not intend to leave Madrid. I have 3 years of contract and I am going to fight"

I think the fact he has Herrera and Mata there is a big reason he is still with us. It's no secret that them 3 are great friends and I hope they both try keep DDG this summer aswell.

I guess he will leave. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some gentlemen's agreement between him and club. Sign a contract extension and you can go after two season if the price is right... I think he just wants to go back to Spain. And Real Madrid is big thing and especially to spanish players.

I dont want he goes but i understand him.
