What's this thing about him having to fire his agent and sign with Jorge Mendes?
 
We seem to have a lot of Mendes players now. Bebe, Nani, Ando, De Gea and the twins too?
 
Got to be honest, I'm a bit perturbed by our recent habit of acquiring players via this agent, and/or on the recommendation of Queiroz. I hope nothing dodgy's going on.

Most thought he was A target, not THE target. It was a little hard to believe we were going to sign a 20-year old keeper. But Ducker wrote months ago we had a deal agreed.
 
I somehow portray this Jorge Mendes fella as Ari Gold, running around his office screaming that he wants Ferguson on the phone, now.
 
Well something might be odd with Mendes. Was reading somewhere Bebe was offered to PSV for free and they didn't take him and then we paid 7.6m for him without ever watching him pay. This Mendes character...

They don't really have a choice, or else we will have to find him a new girlfriend, an Eskimo perhaps.

We're fantastic for getting our business done early, we really are. I think Varane's a very real possibility too, and people won't be disappointed when they see him. Young seems like another Joe Cole - mentioned by all and sundry in the media, more because of his availability than any need or interest from the club - but if we're interested he could be wrapped up in a couple of weeks. Could be the 'three signings' done and dusted just like that.
 
A central midfielder is the one thing I really crave, feck Young. I don't rate him.

In all seriousness, I can't imagine us not signing any CM this summer.

Well not always.

The main benefit is that the new player can join the club and be part of the pre season tours.
 
Good signing but I am a little uneasy starting a young goalkeeper. Most keepers peak pretty late.
 
i think Van Der Sar was quite young when he won his first Champions League trophy.
Buffon and Casillas won the world cup in their 20's and both started out at 17. We need to trust SAF this time.
