Incredible save. Honestly each day that goes by without his renewal does get a bit more scary because he could choose who he wants to play for in reality. We need a top 4 place to ensure he doesn't think about going elsewhere to fight for the trophies his talent is good enough to have won multiple times.
If he regains his form it looks like he might be our player of the year YET AGAIN. If he gets any more green Matt Busby statues, his cabinet is going to break.
He doesn't actually have that many options now that won't be sideways/backwards moves from United, apart from Juve and Paris all top teams around Europe are perfectly settled with a long term keeper suited to them.

We need to reign in our wage bill. DDG is already paid more than all other top GKs and paying anything near his rumored demand for £300k would be ridiculous.

If there is a single person in this team that deserves those type of wages it's him. The only person in this team who has put in consistent marvelous performances during all these shite years. Without him we would have finished 5th or below every season.

true, but then if we got some decent defenders in and played better football then he wouldn't need to do what he does and thus not demand such silly fees. If we're the only club who pay a keeper 300k then what would we have to pay a top defender etc?
I'd rather he goes than pay him crazy money as this is snowballing into an unsustainable situation. We have a decent goalkeeper on 100k in romero.

Hmmmmm. I think that goal was almost downplayed because it was Ronaldo - it was truly stunning, won't see many better goals this season. The technique to take that on the volley is just brilliant.

Yep, it was a world class strike that any GK in the world would have struggled to save. Cristiano could not have hit that any sweeter than he did.
His distribution suddenly improves when Fellaini is on the pitch. He finds the big fella every single time.
When he tries to play long to anyone else, they just never seem to reach it. So often you’ll find the ball just bouncing over our players. It’s baffling.
