A few more picture that could help you try to estimate how tall he is...

Ok, I'm kind of missing the point here really... Anyway...

I know this does tell much about how tall he is, but look how long his finger is!

This is the new planking craze. We need more pics of De Gea standing upright.

Seriously, can we back to the thread?

He's probably 6'2'' and I'd finish it now.

It's not the most important thing to discuss whether he's 6'2'' or he's a feckin midget.

Di Vinci states that finger is half the length of the palm, which in turn is a 1/3 of ones arm * 2 = the length of the body.

That picture clearly shows his finger to be 6 inches so:-

6*2*3*2 = 72/12 here's exactly 6ft.

No, because obsession is the hallmark of the caf.

Hopefully a good performance at home this Monday will bring this thread back from outer space.

But how do we measure this thread? I've heard it's as big as Sneijders?

All threads crumble under the Berbatov thread.

But wikipedia said this thread is larger...do we have any photographic evidence to compare?

Can't believe this is attracting so much attention from the media, although I shouldn't be surprised I guess. A couple of mistakes and they're all over him like wolves.

It's not like SAF can drop him now, it just wouldn't help with anything at all. He'll dent the confidence of an already insecure keeper. Instead he should give him time, obviously, and IMO it's so obvious that it's quite strange seeing all these articles stating that "SAF WILL GIVE SPANISH FIASCO SHOT STOPPER TIME TO COME GOOD!"

He has stated that De Gea will be out first choice keeper, that's the replacement we want for van der Sar, and we'll give him time to adapt and come good. He's 20 years old FFS, and a talented keeper, which we've actually seen some really nice glimpses of already. I don't agree at all that he's looked shaky in controlling his area, it's his shot stopping which has let him down, and I don't think anyone truly believes he doesn't got what it needs in that regard. Concentration, adaptation and confidence. All will be sorted with a bit of patience.

Oh, and yeah, he's not really tall enough to make it at United IMO.

I was kind of feeling sorry for the kid after the last two games, but that was until I remembered how stunning his girlfriend is.

He needs to marry his girlfriend. Fast. You just cant risk something like that leaving.

Maybe thats whats causing him all the uncertaintly - he's probably too pre-occupied with what she is up to.

Just to put that that stat of how he conceded the most goals outside the box in perspective, here's a video of all them. Honestly, how many of those could have been saved

The first one against Hercules (2nd one in the video) maybe? and the Ozil free kick, are the only ones i reckon he could have done better on.

That is a good read.

Curiosity got the better of me and I had to google the first seven words of the book he just read.

I could not see the street or much of the estate. We were enclosed by dirt-coloured blocks, from windows out of which leaned vested men and women with morning hair and mugs of drink, eating breakfast and watching us. This open ground between the buildings had once been sculpted. It pitched like a golf course – a child’s mimicking of geography. Maybe they had been going to wood it and put in a pond. There was a copse but the saplings were dead.

Turns out it's The City & the City by China Mieville. Coincidentally a book I've been meaning to read for ages. I doubt it's on Sean Custis' book-shelf.

That video's mirror imaged - that's really disconcerting.
No wonder De Gea got confused.
