Not the greatest punch in the world but he was under pressure and fair play to Lennon for picking out Demsey rather than just rushing the chance.

Up until that moment though he kept us in the game with 2 wonderful saves and a good stop from Lennon as well.

yeah definitely cost us two points, what with all the other saves he made... penis patrol out in full force as per usual.

Hope he won't be dropped for that. May be clutching at straws here but it was positive to see him trying to take responsibility in the final minute. Certainly not the only player to blame anyway

Should have done better. Still had a great game up till there, but then a combination of errors cost us at the death.

Without De Gea we would have lost today, no doubt about that.

Anyone criticising him needs to have a word.

Every save he made, I noticed the commentary trying to downplay it. The first one he apparently knew nothing about, then Dempsey's was apparently straight at him then Defoe's shot was going wide anyway. Martin Tyler doesn't really like him

Just having the watched the replay again. It was a mistake but it wasn't such a critical mistake, questions should be asked why Dempsey was left unmarked in the box. Still an excellent performance.

He could have done better but I'd look at others for that goal. Like our right side, just what the heck were they doing?

He made a mistake, in an otherwise world class performance. Feel sorry for the lad.

 This is so true. We had three players in proximity yet Dempsey had the freedom to pick his spot.

Not a mistake for me, he's at full reach and he takes it off the Spurs forwards' head.

He had a great 92 minutes making some top quality saves in that time but he could seriously start improving on dealing with those type of balls. Saying that the goal wasn't entirely his fault either, Rafael tearing up the pitch without the ball in the 93rd minute was as much to blame.

Redknapp defended de Gea for a change. Nuff said.

He had a great game but lets be honest, he should have done better with that cross at the end. It landed right on Lennon's feet FFS.

I wouldn't blame him for us leaving with a draw. It might have been a defeat without all those crucial saves he made. He has improved with the crosses and you can see he won't simply resort to punching it if he can help it. There's still more work to be done though. Anyway I saw someone quoted on BBC sport saying he'll cost us points if we keep playing him. For me it's the opposite, he'll continue to win us points out of nowhere.

Now that goal was poor defending above all else. We switched off right at the death and got caught out.

Mixed bag for me. Along with his mistake at the end he could have easily palmed yet another shot to the opposition had Defoe been called onside in the first half after Lennon's shot (very tight call).

If De Gea gets praises for the saves he has to take the criticism for the goal. Its as simple as that.

Don't see what else he could of really done. Caulker looked like winning that header, and he had to come over 3 players to get it away. It was difficult punch. He kept us in the game.

I think rather than blaming De Gea you have to ask why there were two players unmarked in our box. It was a decent enough punch but we were just tired and couldn't get out quick enough to stop the second wave.

That was one of those ones when you want your goalie to be ruthless an take out anyone else if need be, or at the very least get the ball out of the box. He had a very good game but just like with rafael one decision can make all the difference.

You mean the rebound he saved? Nit picking if anything, he was fully stretching for Lennon's shot in the first place.

Bollocks his errors very rarely have proven costly in the end.
Blackburn springs to mind and there are others

Don't wanna be hard on the kid but it was a mistake - there is no denying that - you come for the ball you get some distance on it

The mix up between Rafael and Valencia obviously contributed to it

Frustrating because those 2 points could be the difference

It's not an individual error and if anything De Gea's lack of playing time with Vidic showed. Has to better communication on that.

Keepers get judged by their mistakes, it might be harsh, but that's the way it's always been and rightly so.

That said, he definitely shouldn't be dropped.

I guess that Gary Neville is an idiot too then.

When it comes to keepers he is, he's shown time and time again he doesn't have a clue about them.

Pretty much said it himself as well, something like 'when we conceded for me the keeper was always at fault' or something along those lines. Translates into his commentary.
