Darwin Núñez | Liverpool player | Fighter

Liverpool don't really have the resources to spend that much money on a shiny new striker and get it wrong.

It would be fecking brilliant if he really does turn out to be a petulant donkey. It'd set them back in a big way imo.

This transfer still is a mystery to me. Everything showed he was overperforming last season. He's a 40M player AT BEST. The amount they spent is ridiculous.

Man was clearly terrified of what Martinez was going to do to him next Monday and took the easy way out.

Say what you want about him, but he's never boring to watch. Highly entertaining player.

Tonight's performance was special kind of trainwreck, you can't take your eyes off it.

If we think outside that absolutly stupid red card there should be concerns about his technique. He will score goals on power but his touch makes Lukaku prime Messi.

Hard not to watch that clip and shout TIMBER the way the big daft defender goes down.

24 shots with only 4 on target.

Nunez will make sure that ratio stays as poor as that all season.

He had 2 shocking miss kicked shots which both should have been goals. He’s going to frustrate Liverpool a lot this season. Long may it continue. He’s hopefully there for a few years too.

Yeah. Think he'll bag a lot of goals because he does take up a lot of good positions. His movement is very good but definitely question marks over his technique. His decision making is a bit questionable at times too - he often seems to look for a pass instead of taking the shot on when he's probably best placed to score.

He had a nibble just before it, that’s what The palace player looked to be complaining about before he shoved him & got a headbutt for his troubles.

Plus point is Martinez will not need to deal with flaying elbows on Monday night with the height difference.

Ignoring the red card he was terrible. No technique on the ball. Everything bounces off of him. Thought he was decent against City and Fulham but so poor tonight.

Did not watch the game but that looks like a fairly standard 3 game ban to me from that clip.
Would be surprised if it’s longer, at least he actually put some force into it unlike most other head nudges :)

He’ll have a season like Andy Cole’s first season with us. Score plenty of goals with tonnes of frustration missing huge chances.

How long do we think the ban will be? Gotta be extended beyond 3, right? The dude should be in a prison cell tonight.

5 game minimum but we all know it will be reduced down to 1 game and an apology to LFC for the inconvenience this episode caused.

Looked like he wanted to knock down the ref too after the red but a teammate stepped in
