Darts

Probably will mate, depending on how long the tennis final is on. But the reason I'm not really interested in this final is because it's boring seeing MVG will all the time, even if he's absolute quality. Wade outside of Kim Huybrechts and then Dolan is my least liked darts player. Guy just bores me tbh, expect MVG to hammer him later tonight.

Huybrechts can be a tit, but he's quick at least.
Wade is the master of opportunism and his finishing can be incredible. Always liked Wade. People forget he was clear number two for years when Taylor was still at his peak. He is some player, he just ran into a few problems.

Yeah Wade is a good player, as you said incredible finisher.

Not a classic. Shame Wade couldn't find his A game.

Wade could have and should have gone in first session 4-1 with darts in his hand to potentially go 5-1 in the next, overall final was an anti-climax but in general a very watchable tournament.

Tournament did have some memorable games. I do think that if Wade had got that lead, it would've sparked MVG to go beast mode, but you never know.

The Players Championship on for the whole day ITV 4 or go down to the river of streams! Anyway over 22 matches just a few caught my eye:

Ian White v Keegan Brown

Chizzy v Painter

Wade v King

Price v Van den Bergh

Norris v Smith

Guerney v Baxter

Suljovic v Barney

Webster v Jenkins

Lewis v Thornton.

Jelle missed 3 darts to beat Chizzy, and if that went in he had gone up ahead of him in the rankings

Balls, totally missed this today.

World championships draw has been made

RVB V Robbie Green
M. Smith V R. Evans that will be played at some speed
Cavern V Painter
VVDV V Max hopp
Kim v Wilson

Poor Kyle Anderson misses out unable to get a visa

Odd that Kyle Anderson can't get a visa. Seem to remember him having a decent run in one TV tournament. Should be allowed in for that nine darter at the worlds alone.

Ally Pally has arrived in fact 20 mins away. Tonight's lie-up:

Jamie Caven v Kevin Painter

Jamie Lewis v Mick Mc Gowan

Gary Anderson v Mark Frost

Michael Smith v Ricky Evans.

Smith v Evans what a games of darts that was and it's only the opening night!

They're not showing the darts in Jamaica and I'm only going to get to see the second half of the tourny.

Just looking at getting a dart stand for christmas, anyone got any suggestions? Just for some throwaway practice before I get to real games with some of the lads, need to freshen up a bit. So don't want to pay too much really.

That was some nail-biter King v West tonight and the standard in the last match was way up there for a first round match. Some performance from Cullen but never mind the future Corey Cadby is the here and now and only 21.

Anyone know who Keegan Brown has to play? Showed some early signs of promise or were they talking him up too much.

He has the same chance as winning this years worlds as me and you, I.E didn't qualify
Wasn't he keeping his job at some hospital, he just never went on the circuit or devoted the time to it. Anyway are you sticking with MVG for this one or who are your picks?

Have too go for MVG won all the Sky and ITV events since the worlds

Semi Final
MVG V Taylor
Chizzy V Wright

Final
MVG V Wright

Not been convinced by Anderson since he's started wearing glasses, as he had to adjust his throw and darts a bit he would have been better getting laser eye surgery, but in an interview before the world championships he said he's too scared to get it done, even though his wife had it done and worked.

Two stand out matches tonight Robbie Green v Van Barneveld and Brendan Dolan v Cristian Kist.

2 days of easy games for the seeds

Yeah it has the feeling more than ever of a tournament that can't wait for round 2 to begin. When you look through the draw there are already some tasty looking matches lined up:

Michael Smith v Mervyn King
Benito van de Pas v Terry Jenkins
Mensur Suljovic v Mark Webster
Robert Thornton v Daryl Gurney
Phil Taylor v Kevin Painter (c'mon Artist make a game of it!)
James Wade v Steve Beaton
Kim Huybrechts v Vincent van der Voort (if they both win tonight)
Jelle Klaasen v Brendan Dolan (if Klaasen wins tonight)

All proper darts matches just in time for Christmas :)

Rowby-John Rodriquez has brothers called Roxy-James and Rusty-Jake Rodriquez.
Imaginative parents. Does the second round start on 27th? I'm back in England that day:)

Knew he had a brother Roxy-James as he is also a dart player, haven't heard of Rusty-jake though

Ah right, cheers. Decent line-ups for both second round sessions. Smith v King and Webster v Whitlock great and Gilding looks weird but can be bloody good on his day. Seem to remember him beating Taylor in one tournament and he was virtually unplayable that day.

Good win for Smith 14 180's, needs too smooth out his finishing as he missed 9 match doubles before getting D20
