Darts

Only saw the Anderson game as I had just got back from work, looked very good started with 2 11 dart legs and finished with a 99 avg

Thought Keenan would have gave Wright more of a game but an 83 avg you have no chance

Good bye Kim Huybrechts was very good finishing by pallet 132 and 122 to win

Means that 4/5 seeds have been beaten today

WOW WOW MVG won 6 legs in a row to go 2-0 up now it's 2-2 in sets and 2-2 in legs

MVG wins 4-2 in the 5th set

Yeah, I was not going to bother with the MVG game either, but bloody hell, didn't expect that! Surprised to see Kim and White out too- the kids are doing well this year.
Tonight's line-up not stellar.

Evening Session (7pm-11pm)
Keita Ono v Alex Tagarao (P)
Simon Whitlock v Ricky Evans
Vincent van der Voort v Laurence Ryder
Phil Taylor v Ono/Tagarao

Was at a mate's birthday tonight and only caught the very end. They apologised for Taylor's language in his interview. What did he say?

Andy Hamilton out and I'd say there's many more upsets to follow.

Darts is just so much professional nowadays compared to the past. Over a few sets there isn't a big gulf between the top players and the qualifiers in some cases. Players can't afford to not turn up anymore.

 It's the fact he stopped and looked at his score and still went for the 180

Saw it a few years ago Steve Farmer had 176 left hit 180 and did this

:lol:That looked one hell of a leg tbf. I thought the bloke yesterday's flight caught the other one a bit, so a bit unlucky, but was funny.

It totally fecked him up was close to tears and never recovered in the 3rd set. Norris v Thornton looks good tonight. As for Mervyn King went 2-0 down last night then proceeded to win 9 legs on the spin with no reply and won 3-2.

Yeah, I watched it last night, just later on when the missus went to bed. That bloke playing King was weird- 'the Russian Whitlock'- came out with some great finishes though. Agree on Norris v Thornton- neither had a good year though.

Think the lad went for 140, for double 20 finish in next throw. Don't think he was that silly...or was he?
Nah, he fecked it accidentally. No-one thinks he went for 180.
Thought Norris-Thornton would be close...Smith match hotting up.

Smith is fat Butthead.

Never seen anyone play as bad as Wes and win

Chizzy played well vs Rodriquez in a 3-0 win but all sets went 3-2

Klassen will be hard to beat and has been playing well. Can't wait for the 32 to start on Sat that's when "game on" really comes to fruition.

The woman interviewing Klaasen after the match "your the first person to have a 100+ finish":wenger: (102 avg) a dark horse for the title if he plays like that, only dropped 2 legs vs a guy with a 93+ avg. plays King in the next round and more then likely the power in the 3rd

Jelle was unlucky last year running into Gando 2nd round Jelle was on a 2 dart finish to beat Anderson 3-1 and Anderson takes out 86 on the bull

You kind of get the feeling Wade won't let him off the hook in round 2! To be honest I'm very surprised only 1 player (Klaasen) averaged over 100 in the first round.
I expect the standard to go up a bit now as they will have better opponents pushing them on a bit and they've had a few days off to practice!

Think there are a lot of nerves in the opening round and the averages will start flying up when the big players meet. RVB - Bunting sounds a blinder in the second round.

There's not many 100+ avg in 1 st rounds, properly nerves but also IMO having brakes after the 1st and 2nd sets don't help the players Average could win 3-0 but you have to start again during each set.
In 2015 2 players avg over 100
In 2014 0 players avg over 100
In 2013 1 player avg over 100

The missus is going to love the Boxing Day combo of the Stoke game and the darts...

FIXTURES - POST-CHRISTMAS
SECOND ROUND
Saturday December 26 (6pm-10pm)

Ricky Evans v Jamie Caven
Dave Chisnall v Christian Kist
Gary Anderson v Daryl Gurney

Nobody wants to peak too early and, despite the lack of 100+ averages, the standard at the bottom is still the highest it's been.

Wow, Ricky Evans took a pasting there. Hope the other matches throw up a bit more interest.

It's the best he has played in years. He's definitely a dark horse.
He's been playing well but not sure the long format suits him best. His throw is too erratic.

Feck me, I'm older than that Van Der Bergh kid.
Barney became a grandad today, if that makes you feel better.
He aint looking great here. Bunting scoring better. Neither can hit a double for toffee.

feck me that was a hell of a match. Thought RVB had lost when Bunting started blitzing the 180s. Some great finishing and nerve from the big man.
