Darts

His hit rate on doubles is what’s impressing me the most. He’s so consistent, it has to feck with the other player when you know you have to make yours count or else.

Practice practice practice. Go to a proper darts shop where you can throw different darts ie different weight, barrel shape then it's a question of fine tuning with stems, flights.
This is what I did years ago, the guy who owned the shop was very knowledgable, he knew by the way the dart landed in the board if they were too light /heavy.
Top pros usually use between 18-24g darts, although there are a few exceptions I think Bunting uses 14g.

I played for years at a decent level, don't bother much now,I used 24g Phil Taylor darts for years, eventually going lighter to 22g.Get some that feel comfortable and enjoy!.
Thanks mate, I need to find a local darts shop!

I have MvGs but 22g but feel like they’re too light, I have some red dragons that are 25 that I used before that I think I prefer.

After owning many sets of darts I settled on the original ones I had all those years ago - Durro Eric Bristow 22g - rare and expensive now. I got a dart maker to make me 2 sets (Elven Darts) think he's retired now but they were perfect.

Then I found Cosmo molded stems and flights that I preferred and that was it - no more swapping gear ever again. No Robin Hood shots and taking care of the flights meant they last for ages. It makes a difference when the only thing to blame is yourself it's far too easy to blame something in the set up.

Just wonder if Littler might run out of steam the longer the game goes on.

Edit: Not if Cross can't finish

I'm not sure there's many about now sadly, it was a proper old school shop ask for a set of darts he'd give you stems and flights and throw at the board he had in the shop, try a few he'd give you his advice.
MVGs are a slim dart, if they feel alright in your hand try 24g. I'd say 23-25g is the sweet spot for most, lighter darts tend to favour people who throw hard as opposed to floating them in.
Darts tend to always come with medium sized stems and standard flights, stick to standard flights and try short stems see how you go.

I used him I think to make me a set, stuck £25 in an envelope he phoned me the next day and said I appreciated you sending cash, your darts are in the post, one of the points snapped after a few years sadly.
I used the original Taylors for years, but I begun to throw slower and harder for some reason, tried 20 and 21g settled on a 22g gold set off darts corner beautiful dart.Played with them until I stopped playing, still in my drawer somewhere.

I got a cheapo point machine and can do my own now. It's a bit of a fiddle but much cheaper.

Yeah I’m not sure I’m loving the slimness  but I did hit my first ever 180 with them.

I’m going to keep mixing things up and hopefully this coach can teach me some good techniques.

Ah the bull-bull 132

Not sure I've ever seen someone checkout with 2 bullseye's to set up the double.
