Darts

I understand people saying that Taylor's only done what SAF has, but if I wasn't a Utd fan, I wouldnt think it was right. In fact, I dont, but cos I'm a united fan, I dont mind. I hope MVG takes him tomorrow, and Stu, I see that you're a bit of a fanboi for Talyor, but it doesn't change the fact that he plays the media/fans for him. Nor does it change me wanting MVG to win tomorrow.

No Liam, I'm not a Taylor fanboi. If anything I follow Chisnall more closely. I'm just pointing out an overreaction on the part of many here. When Nicholson was being a right bitch at the end of the World Cup of darts, it was all 'Oh it's good to have characters in the game'. When Lewis was a prick with Painter it pretty much went unmentioned.

Still, I want Taylor to win because he's English, and I want the world championship to stay in England.

Then the other world championship starts.

Needs to all be under one banner IMO.

Taylor himself has admitted he is ashamed of his post match actions and has apologised to Barney. It had nothing to do with his "darting arm" being twisted!

Taylor was wound up and reacted badly. Nothing more than that.

Fair enough then no?

I should point out that I was also drunk when I made that post. I don't like Nicholson, but at least he does add something. Taylor on the other hand is similar, yet seems to be loved by all the fans, although the few on here don't share that.

The Brits love an underdog though don't we?

Aye. I would say its the first time Taylor has been the underdog in a very long time.

Have to respect his contrition too.

Not sure what you mean by "fair enough". Taylor was out of order and seemed utterly ashamed of himself (as any normal person would).

I hope Taylor wins tonight but if he loses I really don't want to hear another word about his fecking cold.

Yes he reacted badly, but it's easy to do that when emotions are high and even more so when your under the weather. At least he's held his hands up, which for me shows he's not the person people are trying to paint him as on here.

Anyway, I can't really post properly as I'm full of a hangover. Tell you the truth I've become disillusioned with the caf.....

Almost time before the most anticipated game of darts in a long time. I expect Phil to win because of his consistency and experience, he's definitly not the underdog here, probably a slight favourite in my opinion. MvG has to prove he can carry over this amazingly form into the final and win it, and his quite dodgy doubles at times might cost him important legs. Just hope Phil doesn't retire regardless of the outcome, it would be like the league without Man United.

I think it might be tricks playing in my head but the united support at wigan were singing MvG's walk on song when RVP scored today at wigan

Insane standard from both already. Ridiculous from Taylor on the bull.

Outrageous. What a fecking check out by MVG. He had to get that or the first set was gone.

Class 140 from MVG there. Hell of a start to the match. Thought Taylor had him there.

There's the breakthrough. Snapped it up. Taylor can't match his doubles.

Sooner or later the realisation of what he is doing will strike MVG and it's how he reacts to that. Taylor will not go away quietly.
