Him and Schneiderlin are two of the biggest disappointment because it felt they were exactly the right players joining at the right time and both failed to live up to the expectations massively. In Schneiderlin’s case we managed to get our money back which is fine, we will probably make a profit on Darmian because of how the market has changed but it’s still not what should have happened.

Unless he gets sold tomorrow i doubt that now. His contract is up next summer, the club reportedly turned down the chance to make a small profit on him this summer already.

Can't believe he is still here, our team always looks worse off with him starting. I'd have him as the 6th pick for RWB behind Valencia, Dalot and Young - I'd even try Perreira and Lingaard there before going for someone who gets bullied on the ball and offers minimal attacking output

TBF to United, the rumours I read is that several Italian teams were only offering loan deals and with no commitment to buy. In that situation I'd hold out for a permanent transfer given he has just a year left on the contract. Come January, I suspect Darmian will be pressing even harder for a permanent move as he is squandering his international career in our reserves
